However, Cole has admitted that he could well consider his own options when the transfer window reopens if he too continues to be overlooked.
The youngster, who turned 22 on Saturday, has two years left on his Chelsea contract but conceded he was chomping at the bit for regular first-team action.
"I am confident in my ability - I am learning from world-class players. Once I get games you'll see the fruits," he continued.
"I felt the time was right (to be given a first-team chance) four or five weeks ago.
"I scored for England Under-21s against Austria and Poland and when I got back Jose put me on the bench and I wanted to kick on from there, but he held me back again and that was frustrating.
"Let's see what happens in January, you never know what will happen, but I'll talk to the manager and see what he wants to do with me.
"I've got two years left on my contract and I haven't set myself a time limit. I don't know what the answer is.''
