Do you know any websites where they have shanties and chord structures. I can't be arsed to work out the chords myself. Failing that words and musical notation would work.
Oh and come on England!

Hi Stomps. Just seen the message. Been a bit busy with work. 7 days a week and 14 hr days.

Loads of sites with shanties.....at least the words, and of course, lots of 'load down sites.
Chord structures? I think, like most people that can play well, you're looking too deeply. Most shanties are just 2,3 and 4 chords at the most. I will have a look round some 'folkie sites' over the next couple of days and see if I can come up with something. Found a couple of good Irish sites about a year ago, so I feel pretty confident I'll come up with something.
Alternatively, you could write down the song titles and I'll see if I have them in my ageing 'hand written' files. I could get a few mates to help me too.

I still can't quite picture this history teaching, bottle neck sliding, raw blues playing rebel, with a pewter tankard, sandles and his finger stuck in his ear. The only thing that might fit the picture is the real ale bit. :D

Just got in from work. It's 22.45 here and I've been at it since 0615. I should have been a teacher Stomps. All those holidays.

Not had a chance yet mate. It's hell being a boss. We are normally just 4 at work, but at the moment we are 10, including my ex. Hmmm. I am taking Sunday afternoon off tho'. A beer or two while I watch the game. I haven't forgotten you tho. If I don't fall asleep after a cuppa, I'll try to have a look round. Any particular songs??
