Alright...

Who will grant a poor lad his wish of 2 tickets to this match?

Anything under 200% markup is fine by me (most likely)

If you are located in the USA way don't you contact your local Celtic or Rangers supporters club? Many have season tickets.

Good luck - Old Firm matches must be seen to be believed.

I'll give that a shot - But I'll be living in Europe come next year.

I do not know about getting tickets for the Rangers areas, for Celtic most tickets are balloted, always more requests than tickets. The importance of the particular game adds a bit more pressure to the ticket hunt

The best idea idea is hospitality, I know that Celtic sell hospitality packages, I think for between £150-200 per person, that gets you a meal etc at Celtic park then transport to Ibrox, then back for a celebratory drink (More often than not:D) ...I've seen these available even just before games.

www.celticfc.com is a good place to start.

Alternatively if your inoculations are up to date than you could look to get tickets in the home areas.

I always get two, so I'll wave to you :D

Bump!

I contacted my local CSC - I guess we'll see what they say... oh wait - does that give away my allegiance? :D - whoops- that does too. :p

I've found two websites - one for 300 euros where I bought my WC tickets, and one for 395 euros and up if I don't buy a hotel...

If I could find something less than 300 euros in decent seats, I'd be all over it.

Why would anyone pay several hundred dollars to sit in a theater of bigotry is beyond me.

Same reason people pay $70 for a steak in a nice restaurant... atmosphere ;)

If bigotry, sectarianism and glorification of terror are your idea of an "atmosphere", you'll fit right in.

I was going to suggest going to watch some REAL football while you're in Scotland but if that's the kind of thing you're into, by all means stay away from decent fans and go to the bhigot bowl.

Now now, I'll get my fair share of real football. But not in the lower Scottish leagues - I'll get it in Spain :D

You could go to some of the bigger Celtic site's and throw yourself on their kindness to far flung fellows (Don't say that very often)...I can Pm them if you wish.

You'd have a much better chance of tickets at Celtic Park

Ps If you are of a nervous disposition I'd advise attempting to get to another game :D

Haha no I'm not of the nervous disposition. If you have any contacts that would be great- and I would pay them quite a bit in order to convince them.

Right now I'm just planning on saving and worst comes to worst I buy a e300 ticket.

I was supposed to go to the Chargers-Dolphins game tomorrow but I decided to sell, knowing I'd need a lot of money in a few months

Tickets for OF matches are like gold dust. If you're going as a Celtic fan you'd struggle to get a ticket for the away section, these are usually allocated amongst the Celtic supporters clubs. You're best chance would be to get a ticket from Ibrox itself. You'd sit amongst the Rangers fans but hey, it's worth it. It's an unbelievable atmosphere.

Wouldnt that be a little awkward?

SoccerTravel just advised me that if I want to sit in the away section, I might be best served to try and get a ticket from a scalper on game day.

That sucks, flying up to England, taking an all day bus... just to possibly not get inside the stadium?

I meant buy a ticket officially from Ibrox. It's quite common on OF matches even if you don't support Rangers. The one in August at Ibrox there were more than a few Japanese around the Rangers section than normal. It didn't take a genius to work out what team they were supporting. Nobody bothered them though..... :D ;)

I see - I would assume there are more available closer to game date if the point gap between the teams increases.
