It looks like my batsman won't get called up even though an 18 yo with an almost identical BT rating, and inferior stats (in a III series, just like me), got the call up.

NT? or U-19? u're the guy in SL right?

U-19's, Sri Lanka

There's also some 18 yo's on the full national side that look right around his caliber. I'm hoping that they'll consider him in the future. Our national side will probably get blown out against England though. Our U-19's have some guys who don't even have a 10,000 BT rating, and they don't have a single guy under 20k.

Yeah, we're the smallest country in BT. The IV divisions are still mostly bots, and I think I'm in one of the most competitive III divisions, (we have three teams that aren't walkovers).

The NT managers said they wanted to test themselves against the most difficult competition (UK and Oz) first, so they could get an idea of where they stood right away.

for the NT to be even remotely successful its going to take managers who don't care about their own teams who will give their good yps or talented young players 5+ net sessions per week.

The Windies has a number of managers who'll do that and we still don't stand a chance against some of the better teams... there's a guy on the U-19 squad who's getting 7 count them, 7 net sessions... that's dedication there.

Seargeant is getting six sessions right now. I'll re-evaluate that after the personal fitness changes kick in -- ideally, I'd prefer to have him closer to four, so if that winds up working well with his fitness level I'll be happy.

Remind me Craig, what is Seargeant's batting skill?

There's at least one Windies player at quality batting.

Superb.

u've got a monster on your hands there man... what was he when u first got him and how many sessions did u give him at first???

I've got a monster in the making but I'm skeptical of whether he'll make it to those heights.

Does anyone have a Training time list... especially one w/ multiple net sessions???

********. Very impressive Craig. Maybe we should have a separate sub-forum just for him ;)

u've got a monster on your hands there man... what was he when u first got him and how many sessions did u give him at first???He was pulled at proficient batting and I think respectable concentration. The fielding wasn't all that good, nor the stamina, those are coming around though.

Up until last week, he was at four nets sessions, two batting and one each fielding and fitness. (Now, as noted upthread, he's at six sessions, with the extras going to more batting.)

Does anyone have a Training time list... especially one w/ multiple net sessions???Someone (Borderliner I think) posted one in the Windies sledging.

so, this weeks opponent wants to me to GFI while he TIEs the match so he can lose. He says he wants to get relegated. I'm not wasting a GFI on this match. I'll play normal and if he messes with his orders enough and plays TIE he'll lose. seeing has I'm going to win only 1 more match, maybe 2 if I win this week, I'd say I've got relegation locked up already.

You are right not to blow your GFI on this match.

Just make sure you tell him that you are normaling. He could easily play his batsmen as bowlers to ensure you win. In fact you should suggest that to him.

i told him that i'm most likely not GFI on this one and I did tell him to screw with his orders, like putting destructive players on very attacking so they are just way too attacking and don't play well. once he replies i'll suggest having his batsmen bowl and his bowlers bat higher in the lineup! He's got a national team player that he has to play, at least he says he does, so i'm hoping he just messes with that guys orders, like put him on very defensive so he doesn't score any runs.
