I'm kind of mad about the changes, but I see what they're getting at, and I fell that, in the long run, it will help the competitive balance (because, unlike in hattrick, it's possible to train player's at a different rate).
Of course, I'm mad, because I'll have to cut back on training my soon-to-be superstar at the end of this season.

Give him 10 net sessions until the rest of the season ;)

So basically with the new changes playing the same players in the league and cup matches is a bad idea? Looks like I'll be making an early exit in the cup and not playing friendlies then.

Now that's interesting, they've got to include some kind of incentive to play friendlies otherwise few will play them.
Of course they help with form but unless you've got 22 players or say 18 there's little point tiring out your squad.

And it may devalue the cup. The only incentive there is the extra money from gate receipts.

yeah... no one can afford to have 2 full squads + trainees so being competitive in both areas will probably mean a dip in fitness big time after a short run in the cup.

i think everyone's players were set to "fresh" yesterday and are now al at "sublime" if that is the jump you get from one day of rest i say train away!

not form... personal fitness level... which has gone up to sublime today. That helps a bit.

This is what happens when you only read half of a rule change.

And oh yeah - what the bloody hell I am only at fresh today. Any other Australia players at something other than fresh?

Yes - but see that would take effort and well - I am a lazy American and would rather have someone else do it for me and present it to me in a nice little report! :D

i know how that is.
some of the England matches have already been played (not sure why this happens) but anyways, it has been reported that the personal fitness level went down one level from playing in a match. I don't have all the details, i.e. all rounders, guys who don't bat, bowlers who only bowl 5 overs, etc.

Matches in England V are played on Thursdays to reduce the stress on the servers.
I just got a mail from the Indian U19 coach saying my 17yo superstar will probably be called up to the squad on Monday :) It's not exactly unexpected since he's better than most their 18yos but nice all the same...
Having a NT player suits me as well since i intend to focus more on one day matches than first class. This means he gets a lot of experience from 1 ODI and he'll lose less fitness than he would in a first class match.

Nervous about my match tommorow. Could very well determine my shot at going up.

same situation w/ me... if I win, I promote (if I can keep my NRR high enough) if I don't, I've got no chance of going... and yet, I'm confident enough that I'll only Normal rather than GFI.

Yeah, these next two weeks could make or break my season. I face the #2 and can catch him if I win this week. Then if I want to have a shot at first place, I host the #1 team the following week.
Seriously doubt I'd gain 1st this season, short of the #1 catching a form virus.

At this point my team is pretty much stinking up the joint; perhaps I'll stay up but what I really want is for my star player to be a national teamer. He's on the shortlist but I haven't been piling him up with training like a lot people have with their stars.
