Anybody know what the Twenty20 competition is?

And what'll the FC matches be for? Will they replace the shorter league games?

Twenty20 is one innings of 20 overs only. so it's for very aggressive players. it'll start in the next off-season.

the FC matches don't take over for anything. They will take place on monday, tuesday, and wednesday. both teams have two chances to bat but sometimes the winning team only needs to bat once if they can bowl the opponent out twice for lower then their own total (think the home team in a baseball game not having to bat in the bottom of the 9th because they have the lead). if the end of play on the 3rd day is reached and play is still going on then the match is a draw.

So are there going to be FC leagues? Or are they just gonna be there to be played?

I've tried twice to get into Battrick, but I usually just lose interest. Are there any good starting strategies or guides out there to help me?

FC leagues separate from our OD leagues.

Your best bet is probably JFW. I don't know if they have anything, but they seem like they would be the best place to start.

Look at Community >> Links.

JFW is on there, as is Battrix, both should be good resources.

FC leagues have been drawn.

As some people (by which I mean me) predicted, the initial FC league assignment is NOT our current OD league. The top two leagues are all bots (the top league is made up of the worst bots in the country), with some sort of cup rank based allocation starting with III.

Also, Norse will be joining Los Burritos in Windies II.3 next season.

I could easily finish 6th in my OD league.

I'm going to completely crush everyone in my FC league.

I assume, then, that you landed in IV for FC? I think all the FC III have either a squad from OD I or a strong OD II, e.g. I caught Pebble Street (top div.) and Banks (solid II, probably comparable to my squad).

Yeah, I lucked out. IV.5 for FC. Two humans, five bots.

III.7 for the FC league.

Knuckleheads will win the thing. G Crew and Tresspassers W are good too.

Ok, I think I'm going to give it another go. I'll set up a team tomorrow.

Prepare for many, many noob questions about the game and cricket itself.

FC is not going to have qualification matches -- first place teams autopromote, teams in the bottom half autodemote. There's going to be a ton of turnover in the FC series.

I can (sort of) see why they're doing it, but it's going to be very bad for any country with a relatively unpopulated bottom division.

How long of a wait is it to get the confirmation email? I signed up at about 1 PM today.

you should hear pretty soon.

i'm debating changing my team name. either some form of White Sox Cricket Club or to go with the English County teams, Cook County Cricket Club, as that is where I live.
