ok... understandable... didn't see your competition... either way... trainings the best way to get better... and I still think that guys w/ higher primaries w/ no secondaries do better than guys w/ high secondaries and lowish primaries, even if theres a stamina gap as well - and that performance is what I'm suggesting will lead to higher value and therefore, more fruitful training.
we'll see if i can get a respectable bowler, meanwhile i'll give more nets to my competent bowler and probably list the feeble bowler

Whoa!

How come the BT Ratings on all of my players just dropped like a rock? My 17 y.o. trainee who was over 10k last week suddenly has about 6,500 with no apparent drop in form and he has four training sessions.

Read the latest news item on the battrick home page ....I still don't get it, though. It's saying that it's taking form change into account, but my player's form is still at maximum -- superb batting & superb bowling. If anything, his BT Rating should have gone up, not down.

If he's a YP, there's something odd with the initial BTR's of YPs as I recall.

I had my own surprises, as a couple of players lost four levels of form.

Interesting... After training updates, his BT Rating shot back up and is now at 11,000.

There was a bug and it has been corrected now? Did it seem to impact your wicketkeeper. On the boards a bunch of teams - including me - saw their wicketkeeper BTR go to hell w/o any change in form.

All better now.

Does anyone happen to know if theres any 17yo superbs (in batting or bowling) knocking about yet? I'd imagine 1st or 2nd week proficients on 4 nets should be about there by now.

Not that I know of and certainly none in the WI (they aint on the NT and not on the TM).

I think perhaps there may not have been that many early proficients as well as few managers willing to give away 4 nets to one player so early.

Why... do u have the money for one???

Nope, just wondering how far my boy Chanderpaul is behind the best in the world. Judging by that reply - not too far :)

If anyone is interested, there's a great thread in Global Sledging that is talking about what kind of bowlers there are and it explains things about RL cricket that you might have questions about.

I just noticed Shirayuri Sky in the Windies, corresponding I presume to the famous Japanese HT club. :)

Wait, what boosts consistency and concentration? Just batting and bowling nets?

Any training including fitness, w/keeping and fielding can also boost consist/concentration

Not fitness I dont think. I'm pretty sure it says in the rules somewhere that sport psychs don't attend fitness sessions.

that's correct.

Wicketkeeping boots conc/cons the most and then its fielding. Any player recieving a net in a skill (bat/bowl/keep) will increase his conc/cons.

Okay, so in Hattrick PICing depresses your midfield. In Battrick, TIEing depresses what?

Ok, but I am training just fitness right now with 10 different players and they are getting consistency and concentration pops.
