Here is my nomination for the official world cup song, actually I think it's more of a warm up song to get pumped up

click on the song
Ramstein Feuer Frei

I can imagine Mueller-Vorfelder, Olli Kahn, Paul Breitner or Uli Hoeness dancing to this. But it doesn't really fit with the new nice friendly smiley Klinsi Germany image. And most importantly, der Kaiser will dissapprove.

That is the official FIFA Goleo song, but not the official FIFA world cup song, afaik.

But nevertheless it is utter crap in my oppinion.

If this were an imageboard, I'd say "age."

Official Goleo song? What else will they have official songs for in the fututre? The official Budwiser Fan Refreshment song? Or the official song for the final draw? How about an official World Cup qualification song for the time before the WC?

Well anyway, I think this song isn't even all that horrible...I mean it could have been worse (Anastacia). It's just a typical, political correct song, that won't offend anyone and has a positive message. The fact that it doesn't have any direct connections to football doesn't weight that much.

Not the official song - there will be one from classical tenors IL Divo and a hymn from Grönemeyer which are not released yet - but Max Raabe and his Palastorchester with famous actors Heino Ferch and Peter Lohmeyer just released a wonderful song and video in the typical Max Raabe style:

A hymn by Grönemeyer. Exactly what the world needs.

The world needs that a hell of a lot more than it needs a song from Max Raabe, at least.

I have to admit that I have no Idea who Max Raabe is. Judging from the cover - this Comedian Harmonists guy or something like this?

Bingo.

Now ask yourself how long you could stand listening to that for.

Anyone heard Oliver Pocher`s WM song yet?
I don't like Olli very much, but "Schwarz und weiss" is uplifting. Reminds me of "Football is coming home" and 1996...

The Horst Wessel song?

"In hope, to the swastika,
Rise the eyes of millions,
Dawn breaks for freedom
And bread for all man."

You like that don't you?

I am surprised they still let you post on here.

"Dawn breaks for freedom & bread for all men" sounds very like some very noble ideals to me. :) Who is not for freedom & feeding all men?:D

Sure. Don't forget the autobahn, that's another great thing that came from the Nazis.

I seriously hope you have no clue what you are talking about, or else you should be locked away.

Ohhh. Arthur D----Typical response by the young "post war" German generation---who defend "freedom of thought"....& other human rights..."If you don't agree with us.....LOCK HIM UP!"
....Code #130 of the Criminal Code of the Grundgestetz........."Thought crimes"........as thousands of people in todays "Free & democratic" Germany can attest!

Ok let's clear/flush this/you out. Why are you promoting the Horst Wessel song? A song in favour of Hitler and the SA. So are you also in favour of Hitler and the SA? Sounds like it atm.

Oh Arthur---as Shakespeare wrote..."The lady doth protest too much". I'm an Italian/American....& many Germans joke with me about being in the Mafia (which I.....& over 98% of Italian/Americans are not)---but, i laughed it off.:D

Why are you Germans so sensitive about these times? My goodness....it's like Jung's "shadow"....rearing its head in the German "psyche"! Relax.....it was only a joke.......about "Official WC songs"........chill out.....laugh..:) ....relax......many of you post war "re-educated" Germans are so "tight assed"! Arthur...you are the ONLY one who took offense to an innocent joke. No harm was meant, dear Moderators....Arthur is trying to impose the Modern day German..."Muzzle mentality" on me....a free thinking American........something those living in todays..."Free & democratic Germany"....so sadly lack!:p
