TAKE A HIKE IN THE ALPS – Comments thread
Please post here your comments on the draft once we begin on Monday the 17th to keep the draft thread as clean as possible.
If you are interested, there is still time to form a 3RD group if enough members want in.

Things are rolling along nicely in the group #1. Already 3 picks in.
dcchelseafc - England
bluedaddy19 - Netherlands
Amerikaki - Germany
Germany, 3rd? I'm quite happy since at least one of the teams I'm aiming for will be around at #6.
In group #2, well... It's not a good start. johnmatrix is nowhere to be seen. I'll have to assign him a team.

God, I was shitting myself thinking that Toulousain was going to snipe France from me.... I'm banking that by 08, Domenech won't be coaching and Paul Le Guen or Didier Deshamps will be at the helm. Allez les blues!

Anything short of a World Cup and it's the ax for Domenech.
I was also surprised toulousain didn't good for France. Maybe, he's worried (and rightfully) that France won't be able to replace Zidane once retired for good.
I'll limit my comments until I've drafted my first team. Then, I'll rip the others... :)

I'm not too worried. By Euro quals, Ribery will have taken the number 10 shirt. We all know that you are going after the Faroe Islands Montreal. The secret is out.

Oh no... Not another "Ribery addict"... I thought those lived only in the South of France... :D
What's wrong with the Faroe in the first round...

Picked Germany 3rd bec. I want no surprised. I want consistency.
Thought about France but I don't like them much, don't want to find myself rooting for them (I did against Swiss and it backfired!!!!)
The real reason though, is that Zidane won't be able to save them anymore by then, Henry is already injury prone, and I don't see them getting a better coach then Domenich who in my opinion is pretty decent.

Spain's a good choice... It's at the tournament, not the qualifiers they choke... ;)

I almost spit my cofee all over my keyboard over that last part!
I'll take Didier Deschampes over Domenech, hell I'll take Didier Deschamps on meth over Raymond Domenech.

Well, he's in the mountain time zone...
Oh and Domenech still is a poor man for the job. I defended him pretty hard to start, but he's failling to impress.

Let me now join sl7vk in saying: "FIRE DOMENECH"
Ohhh... I believe!!!
I believe Coupet will be the world's best keeper in the near future...
I believe Boumsong will somehow find another gear in up his game...
I believe Evra is not a forgotten talent...
I believe Rothen will rediscover his magic touch...
I believe Ribery will make us all forget a chap named Zidane...
I believe Cisse can actually score on a consistent basis...
I believe Anelka is one good guy to have around...
I believe Wiltord is actually a good player...
Ohhh... I believe!!!
