I think the Tricolor nostalgites on the site should stop letting the results of the team cloud their judgement. That 98 kit was ******** ugly (not surprising that it was a revived version of the 84 kit. 2000 is average at best. I'm not sure what your grouse is with the 2005-2006 kit but I have a hard time believing its based on any aesthetic criteria.

Let France win the WC in it and I'd love to see how ugly it stays :rolleyes:

while nostalgia certainely plays a role in my preference for the kit, the kit itself is not ugly. If it were ugly, it would be kept in the forefront of my closet, never worn but on display for what it symbolizes. I happen to wear mine when I can.

I, however, would not wear that crap that is the new kit, on any day.
edit*to add to that - it is ugly, IMHO (of course), mainly because of the red stripes. They look out of place and miscolored. Lack of anything in the middle is a little nagging, but as you seem to like how the new kit looks, i'll classify that complaint as a trifling matter.
