It's almost like Japanese people and people familiar with Japanese culture can make up their minds individually about movies.
Good to see I've been uber-sigged in your profile line. :D

I can't recall the name but there was another movie, one that described a massacre at some place in WWII iirc and followed the path of 5-6 soldiers that was excellent as well...
Thin Red Line?

Love Actually (oh come on it is a funny movie I dont care, watch it with the woman)
LOL. I'm ashamed to say I watch it anytime it comes on HBO. Kind of dumb but still a funny movie. Billy Nighy was great in that movie.

Now I guess its time for someone to name a list of movies that actually matter
1. Saving Private Ryan
2. Philadelphia
3. The Matrix
4. Green Mile
4. Schindler's List
6. Shawshank Redemption
7. Forrest Gump
8. Seven
9. Arlington Road
10. Braveheart
excellent list... I wouldn't rate Green Mile that highly, but it was a superb film nonetheless. Schindler's List certainly goes under the categor "films that matter" and Gump is a classic. Really really quality list... probably the top 10 I most agree with.

2. Beautiful Mind
A Beautiful Mind was a movie that I loved when it came out, but my liking of it has been soured a bit because of how it glossed over some parts of John Nash's life. Such as, him being divorced and then remarried to Alicia Nash, him having a second family, him traveling throughout europe in a schizophrenic state , etc. The book that the film was adapted from was much better. Most screenplays deviate from the book, but this movie had some major departures.

I knew there was a reason I wasn't destined to be a ManUtd fan. I haven't seen one mention of Office Space.

Well, I can't argue with that, but if you assume a movie was made based on a fictional character, you gotta admit, it's one of the best movies in recent years.

1. Clerks (my favourite movie ever, along with 'M')
2. Twelve Monkeys
3. The Usual Suspects
4. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
5. City of God
(6. Leon)
(7. Glen Garry Glennross)
(8. The Big Lebowski)
(9. Memento)
(10. Requiem for a Dream)
Sorry, I hate seeing people put 10 names in 5-name lists, but I couldn't resist. ;)
I'm watching Clerks right now... the d1ck sucking dialogue is hillarious. The secretary just got back from lunch and started blushing :D

Office Space is great in that its just one of those movies that's destined to be quoted forever. But a lot of people that don't work in offices, especially doing technical work, might not get it so much. Not top 10 material, IMO, but fine stuff nonetheless.

I have no power here. And you guys don't need me to do PbP, so my appearances are definitely limited to very small cameos.
I'm stunned. First, Teso and now nicephoras. LOL
That comparison is hitting below the belt. I don't recall writing a five paragraph blow job of Joe Cole and suggesting he's better than Wayne Rooney.
