You all know who I'm talking about. Those Brazilian players that look solid for their European club teams but will probably never get called or maybe only get a few caps in their career. I'll name one, and then it's open to discussion:
Amantino Mancini (Roma) I know he's been called-up, but it doesn't look like he'll be called anytime soon. Good, solid, speedy winger who has a knack for scoring nice goals.

You could add Marcelinho to the list.

Thought of another one, Ze Maria of Inter...

Marcelinho has 5 caps, but I believe they were quite some time ago. Dede and Bordon have only been capped once each. Ailton and Lincoln have never been capped.
I can understand most not seeing much NT action due to the great squad depth. But when someone like Roque Junior constantly starts, but Bordon gets shut out, that boggles my mind.

Juninho from Lyon. He might have a bagful of caps (Honestly, I don't know), but he has more competition than anyone. He has to compete with Kaka' and Ronaldinho for the playmaker position.

Yeah, but I think as long as he performs well he'll make the Final 23 for Germany. I'm talking about players that look like they have no chance...

Speaking of Lyon, Cacapa hasn't been capped much either (I think 5 times?).

Mancini should really play for Brazil. He has the speed, fancy moves, and the accurate foot to compete with them. I hope he could atleast replace Cafu at right back or something.

Ailton was never capped, despite being the leading scorer in the Bundeliga a couple of years ago.

Are we talking about players who look good for their club but suck for Brazil? (eg Cris, Elber).
Or players who look good for their club but will likely never get a fair shot? (eg Bordon, Marcelinho Paraiba)

Hold on while I look that up...
EDIT: Yep, some caps between 98 and 01 including one sub appearance during Copa America 99.

Safe to say he wont get another callup again. I went into him in NYC during WC 2002 Finals. I was thinking that this guy is much better than some of the guys in Japan/Korea.

Ricardo Oliveira? He's on the World Cup squad right now.
would he recover and be in good enough shape? i think the thing with oliveira would be playing time, behind ronaldo and adriano. but he is LETHAL for betis. he is a one man wrecking crew.
what about edu?

what about edu?Which one? Ex-Arsenal? Had a chance. Nothing spectacular.
Whether Oliveira recovers or not is a different story but right now, assuming he does, he is on the 23 man squad.
