Bruce declares that he wants 20 points between now and Christmas. What is this man smoking? Yes, we've got Melchiot back. Yes Izzet may be back. But who's going to score the goals? Brucey is right though that if we're not on a run by new year, we're done. Perhaps it will be a blessing in disguise as we'll be forced to off load wage-hoggers like Heskey.

PS, John Terry reckons in his recent season-biography that Heskey is his least favorite forward to defend--is that based on his smell? Because he's certainly not striking the fear of god into any defenders with his non-scoring.

well, i'm rolling up to st andrews on the 21st to sing up brum against bolton. they'll take all three from big sam's dirty northern (if somewhat cosmopolitan) bastards, thereby putting off il bruce's dismissal by a week, and relegation til early april.

They'll get relegated. 20 points between now and Christmas?? Don't see that happening.

I don't get it... Our team is a mid-table team on paper... WTF!

To add insult to injury, The Fors has got himself a thigh injury in training--out for three weeks. Bruce is going on about how he wants to strengthen in January; but who exactly is going to come to B'ham in the middle of winter to a team that's fighting relegation? How on earth did Bruce take a solid, financially sound, well-supported mid-table side, then buy Pandiani, Forsell, Pennant, get Jarosik on loan, then drop points like it was going out of fashion? I love Bruce, I have respect for Bruce--but I am beginning to wonder if he isn't better off back home in the Northeast. We need a new manager in January more than new players. That is the bottom line.

Results Below:

What's that you say? You would like a result? How about 1-0 over Sunderland.

Still in 19th, but 3 points away from 15th I think?

First goal in 9 hours of play and first win since August... Good god.

Hey, We're out of 19th with 12 points... Take that Portsmouth!

The second half looked pretty impresive by birmingham standards and Heskey is one hell of a work horse. We could/should of had at least 2 more goals (Heskey and Butt). Nicky, who didn't really look impresive earlier in the year, impressed me in this game. He was constantly making those runs into the box late in the game and missed a sitter on his first attempt but scored on his second(nice goal).

Marcos Painter got the start as a left back and looked pretty solid. He didn't make any glaring mistakes and the defense as a whole looked very solid.

We're only 4 points (with a game in hand) away from getting out of the relegation zone. If damn WBA didn't destroy Man City, we would only be a point away.
