i wouldnt say lyon is underrated
they are one of the best in the world and no one should underrate them

i wouldnt say lyon is underrated
they are one of the best in the world and no one should underrate them
This should be the case, but many people simply refuse to believe that they're any good compared to better known teams. Take a quick look at the Best team currently in Europe (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=257393) thread and you'll see that some people even think Liverpool is better! :eek:

Lyon is an underteam, just because they beat Real Madrid by 3 goals, doesnt put them in a position to be one of the best teams. Theyre European record is rellativity new, however they are a good team, and they could go really far like they did last year.
I always hear people only talking about lyon, but the team that nobody has really put their eyes on, is villareal, who are as good as lyon is, and squad wise even a little better.
so I say Villareal, is the best underrated team! right now!
and most people dont know about this team

everybody knew lyon was comming...i think psv deserves this vote...they lost there whole midfield and half the defence: park, Lee, van bommel, vogel, bouma...

Yes, PSV does surprisingly well. I did expect them fail in the group stage due to the loss of key players, but now they have a good chance to make it out of their (strong) group. Not at last an achievment of Guus Hiddink.
Nevertheless, I vote for Betis Sevilla.

Yes but he is young, and despite van bommel he has less experience, specially with the game play in Spain. Javi Venta is good in his position, which its also good for krompkamp, beacuse he needs to earn his position.

Lyon are starting to shake off the underdong tag but I voted for them anyway. For the guy who thinks they're overrated, are you sure that you haven't been watching Real Madrid?
PSV runs very close. Hiddink has managed to maintain the side's ability although PSV have sold the likes of Van Bommel and Vogel.
For the guys who said Anderlecht and Rapid, you're on drugs.
Udinese are the most unpredictable team in this year's CL. In one match, they are brilliant and in another game, they are the biggest chokers you have seen.
Schalke 04 have looked OK but I'll wait until the end of the Group Stage to see where they should be classified. So far they look alright but they have only won one match in the group stage but if they can beat PSV, Schalke could get through depending on the outcome against AC Milan. The PSV performance could be the real deicding factor for Schalke.

After Ajax (who is clearly the best side on the list) it has to be PSV, Lyon and maybe villareal but don't know if Lyon indeed underrated is.

I still think that villareal are the most underated, and Shalke 04 is quite close!
in my opinion the best midfielders are in villareal and Lyon!
.........Senna...Tachninardi....Sorin....are damm good midfielders and can play attack and defend. That makes Riquelme a deadlier player in attack. Jose-Mari is one of my favorite players, and you all know Forlan.
Their defense is good to, Gonzalo, Javi venta, and Krompkamp, could of went to Juve, Liverpool, and Real Madrid.
Quique alvarez is a future promise for the national team.
Then in the Bench is Josico, Cazorla, guayre, and Roger who played for Barcelona.
