i hope your nation is man enough not to pay off refs like the koreans did in 2002, ur suppose to be a good nation in soccer, prove it don't cheat

The Roman Empire was also long ago, still not few Italians are proud of that ancient history.
But what's most important is that it got you your first World Cup trophy, regardless of how long it was ago, the three World Cup wins make every Italian today proud, thus there is definitely a connection to that long gone past. At least the South Koreans did not win the World Cup in 2002!

Today are big play-off games.
So we all are curious who will win playoffs today.
Who are your favorite?
Mine are Czech, Switzerland and Spain.
I also wish Switzerland to have in our group.
Any other idea for "dream" group for Germany?
Maybe someone of FIFA will read it and we will get our dream group

I was showing an actual result from this morning. If you highlight what I typed and after it, you will see the result. Trinidad and BAhrain just kicked off there are five playoff games today.

That would be the ultimate group I think. Easy for Germany, very competitive and exiting for Serbia and Montenegro, Iran and USA.
Donīt underestimate Serbia and Montenegro,
they won the quali group with Spain,
but Iran and USA in the same group would be an interesting draw.

I should make some bet on this finale game.
I told it many many times on american board.
But they donīt believe me.

also the most unlikely, well not MOST unlikely but theres no chance in hell the US is reaching the final.

the yanks to finish in last place in this group cos im sick of hearing how good the team is when they hardly play any meaningful competition... no offence to the american posters here, but their qualification format is a joke and i believe the australians and some asians are better than the USA...this is in my own interests and id love an opportunity for them to prove this...

czech republic/poland/ukraine

japan gave brazil a tough time at the confed cup and im tired of seeing the brazilians get a free ride into the KO stages with easy first round groups... this is the toughest test i can come up with keeping the seeding restrictions in mind...

Yes Switzerland or Spain in German group would be great.
And Saudi Arabia.
Looks like Americans wants to have the similar group with Switzerland and
Saudi Arabia.
Switzerland are favorite country for both:)
No one will Holland, Czech Republic.
Some Americans wish Germany in their group. But I think many of them underestimate our team. They just think of revange for World Cup 2002.

It's funny. On every World Cup people say Germany isn't one of the top favorites: but why no team reached the final as often as Germany? Hm ... :rolleyes:
