How has Roeder held onto his job this long?

Now that the financial gulf between the Prem and the Nationwide is so mindbogglingly huge, the best WHU can probably hope for is to join the ranks of the yo-yos who traipse back and forth between the Prem and Div 1 every other year. If they don't try to spend their way back into the Prem and end up bankrupt like Leicester City, that is.

I should have tried to talk the little lady into heading to Atlanta to see the Peach drop. Instead, we are heading to some lake hotel in the boonies.

Speaking of dropping, WH play Charlton tomorrow.

Who knows, maybe we'll start off the new year with 3 points at The Valley. Or maybe I'll spend the day cursing Brown, Roeder, Repka and anyone else that I can think of between profanities.

Hey we got lucky, the match has been postponed until tomorrow due to a waterlogged pitch. Nothing like postponing the inevitable!

Did anybody see Sky Sports News this morning? There was a featurette on Gary Breen. Evidently he is some kind of defensive genius. Who knew?

Happy New Year!

The postponement will help us just a bit.

How about Glenn does a David Moyes and takes the following players on loan:

Clint Mathis - the mother Fokker will bust ass for the Hammers, sell a load of shirts, and open West Ham up to be a huge club in the US.

Okay now maybe that doesn't make us huge, but let's add:

Eddie Pope - he's loads better than Reptile and said he would like to taste Europe. Surely London would beat NYC for him. Times running out on the Pope.

Joe Max Moore - Everton wants to dump him, and sure JMM is and old coot, but so is PDC, so send JMM over there and see if he can help out.

I told the management of WHU before that they should sign Kasey Keller, well I'd rather have KK than DJ right now.

The best thing about the above players is that West Ham can certainly afford the salaries that the players are currently getting now.

Okay I'm going to wake up in a little while, this is just a dream and West Ham are in 4th place in reality - God I hope this is a dream.

You stole my plan to help West Ham and keep Eddie Pope out of a metro jersey. Plus if Championship Manager is an accurate measuring stick, which we know it is, then the Clint will go over and score 15 goals in half a season.

I need to re-start my CM game, it blew up tonight.

I think Clint could do some biz, and Pope would close the leaky door infront of the nets.

I sent this to Paul Aldridge today, Glenn will look it over and get back to me.

I have to agree. Even if I didn't, I've got a lot more faith in Clint than Les Ferdinand.

I have more faith in me, old, slow, and out of shape, than Les Ferdinand.

I met a guy here in CT who trialed with West Ham in the 80's. Apparently one of the Board have a heir who lives near me.

Actually I am sure he will dismiss the report. That's the typical assessment from those types.

January 6 and still in the relegation zone.

Remaining League matches in January.

Newcastle 1/11 Home
Arsenal 1/19 Away
Blackburn 1/29 Home.

Not an easy task.

Newcastle lost at Gay Meadow, how sad is that.
