Jim Leighton was a fantastic keeper, in Aberdeen' European Cup side as well as consistantly in the Scots League, as well as for his country.

Close.
1. Ricardo Zamora
2. Banks
3. Yashin
4. Zoff
5. Buffon.
But, interestingly, Buffon hasn't yet reached the
goalkeeper's peak age. Could end his career higher.

Want me to mention him a second time, bro? ;)
If you really think of it in relative rather than absolute
terms, you have to say Zamora was head and shoulders
above almost all his contemporaries, except perhaps
Combi. Great keeper.

Planicka also deserves mention along side those two as pre WWII keepers, as does Frank Swift. Zamora would be 6th for me.
As for Buffon it's still too early for me to put him in with the true elite, but there's absolutely nothing to stop him from moving up as his career progresses.

1. Yashin - the Pele of the goalkeeping world!
2. Banks - made the best save you'll ever see!
3. Dino Zoff - record speaks for itself!
4. Pat Jennings - awesome!!!
5. Frank Haffey - brings tears of joy to my eyes - is he still in hiding??? :D
