I have mine in my camera....IN LONDON SOMEWHERE (I lost it on one of our 'pub-hopping' ventures. :(
Less incriminating evidence, I guess. That is, unless it got into the wrong hands.

Please tell me you didn't kiss Rick.
On another drinking note, that new raspberry Absolut might be the greatest invention ever.

I'm not sure if there was any kissing involved (what with all the leather masks, whips, chains, sheep, etc.).
P.S. I think that's why Rick travels to Scotland so much (sheep to person ratio). Considering he goes to Africa so much, he must have a thing for chimpanzees as well. :D

Hey Romeo! Welcome back. :D Still working on getting the photos pared down to something that you guys would want to see like the matches and stuff. Not really sure you want to see all the "look kids Big Ben, Parliment" moments we had! :p

Land use/takings case on hand but tis all temporarily suspended until the plaintiffs can right their ship. I love it when someone challenges my work, only to find out they're stupid!!
Goon morning, all. Welcome home Red and the Roadtrippers. I see you left a wake of trouble behind your trip to France...

Let's hear the details. I love takings jurisprudence.

Needs vs. wants. We have someone who feels entitled to a rezoning for higher density - despite the fact several banks suggest the existing zoning will likely yield a 17% profit, the utilities were inadequate and his rezoning would violate state laws for development within 7 miles of a public drinking water intake. That and his rezoning would countradict the local master plan. I was just an opinion contributing to the original ruling, but the local government is pretty small and relies on us heavily. I'm not always right, but I know how the law works for this case and, sadly, the guy is simply upset he can't do 1/3 acre lots full of crap.

Okay, the crap remark was opinion. I cannot truthfully say that the construction methodology and materials were, in fact, s**t. I can point out that 4 of this persons last 7 developments in the area have shown negligible increases in value and yield only $.37 in tax revenue for every $1 of services provided, using a per capita basis. Particular community average is $.87... and I'm getting carried away.
Yoss, Red: UGA vs Auburn! What's going to happen? Win this week's version of our office pool and I should get the season title. For our shared love of the Gunners, help this Techie out, eh! : )

Just personal health & accident insurance (though they wouldn't cover my liver for some strange reason). :p

So, does Georgia have a statute, or case law, that would give the plaintiff a case? If he's asking for a rezoning, and he had no legal commitment from the regulatory body (the county?) when he bought it, how can denying him "reasonable" use of the property constitute a taking? I thought the Sup. Ct. had made it clear that something less than complete maximum profit was an acceptable level of use and therefore did not justify a takings claim? Can't he just develop it as allowed under current zoning regulations and make a reasonable profit?
Developers...don't get me started....
