I have Windows XP Pro 2002 Service Pack 2.
Javscripts will not launch for me on certain sites.
Mainly on the Getty Images (http://editorial.gettyimages.com/source/search/product.aspx?p=2&e=0&pg=1&am=-1) site.
It works fine on the other two computers I own, and at work...
Anyone got any ideas?

Which browser are you using?
I had problems with Javascript not running using Firefox 1.0.7, and had to uninstall and reinstall it to get script to work.
Note - after I uninstalled, I had to remove my Firefox settings files, which are stored in the C:\Documents And Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox directory -
Replace username with the Windows name you log in with.

I did a google search and there were plenty of his for "Javascript" and Windows Genuine Advantage (recent Microsoft initiative post SP2 to stop piracy).

IE.Could be a virus (http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web/Q_20946516.html) ...I'd be stunned. I run Norton all the time and every week or so I run Ad-Aware.

ahahahaha stupid genuine advantage. the crack for wga was arond even before microsoft enforced it. the main purpose of wga is to assure the security and stability of operating system by using a genuine copy of windows and how can they guarantee those if it's already cracked in less than a week?

Ya gotta love these threads. You either have people dissin Mac and "Lanax" or you have people who will say nothing more than "Download Firefox." Bigsoccer can be so predictable some times.

Do you actually get javascript errors in the browser when you go to the Getty Images site, or is it that the script just doesn't work at all?
If it's the former, go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and make sure the "Disable Script Debugging" option is checked and the "Display a Notification for Every Script Error" is not checked.
If the script just doesn't work, I'm not sure what it can be.
