Wednesday 9th Nov 7.45 Celtic Park.

Previous form goes out the window when it comes to the old firm, however Celtic are playing well and scoring goals and not conceding them. That coupled with Rangers dismal performance and the fact that the game is at Celtic park should make Celtic, the champions elect favourites to win on the night.

I'll take any sort of victory, last min pen ( Aye that will be right :D)

The real question is, will this be Mcleish's last game in charge if Rangers lose?

Firstly anything can happen in an Celtic v Rangers game, so the recent performances of both teams does not count for an awful lot on Wednedsday.

IMO a large percentage of the Rangers fans never wanted McLeish in the first place, and even more have joined them if you listen to the various phone ins. I suppose it all boils down to how much the chairman Murray can hold out, I think McLeish will go, either at the end of this season or after the two upcoming OF games if he loses them.

Not that I want to see anybody lose their jobs but I want to win the cup game on Wednesday and the league game coming up.

Should be a good game as Gers always come to play. Not sure if Sutton will be fit for the match if not we should start with the same lineup as Falkirk. I see Hartson with a brace and a goal for Maloney. Prso will be the only one to find the back of the net for the Gers. Celtic 3-1 Gers

The CIS cup should be put out of its misery. Be honest, would anyone miss it if it was discontinued?

Ok so what would we replace it with? Can't win a treable with the cup gone. How about an all UK Champions Cup Scottish,English,Welsh down to the lowest divisions.

Why replace it with anything? The clubs have been complaining for years that they have to play too many games in the season. It's not like it gets you a UEFA cup place anymore and the kudos associated with winning the CIS cup is minimal.

One of the reasons that van Bronckhorst cited when he left Rangers was that he'd had to play St. Johnstone 6 times in 1 year. A replacement UK-wide cup is a good idea in theory, but the old Anglo-Scottish cup was pretty uninspiring in practise.

Been reading some hilarous stuff yesterday and today. Bookies favoring Celtic by up to 7 goals which is just plain ludacris. GS is out to win and advance to the next round but he is not going to run up the score to give more reason to can his mate. Spineless little bastards. Personally I don't care what happens today really as long as we pull three points next week at Paradise. Hail Hail!

Celtic 1-0 Rangers HT

A wonderful display of passing football by Celtic. Gers have been on there heels for most of the half. Celtic look to be the hungrier side at the moment as they have held possesion for decent spells. Gers can't find an answer for a$$ busting midfield who is just playing fantastic. Maloney skipped inside on two Gers and saw Klos well of his line and leaning to his near post and shot a rocket of a shot to Klos far side a beautifuly struck ball. With him and Beattie up top for Scotland things are definalty bright. Nakamura is all over the place and has won some great balls. Score could easily be 3- nil.
