Is being serialised by the News Of The World and in it he talks about a few United players.
This is what he said about RVN: "Ruud is a cheat and a coward who is sneaky in the way he fouls players. Everyone thinks he's a nice guy but he's a son of a bitch.""
Now I don't see Arsenal as anything but another title contender. They are not a true rival in the sense of regional derbies but boy, like him or loathe him, Vieira leaving England has been bad for us, yes, Manchester United. This was a guy who kept the hatred between the two teams real on the pitch, the last player Keano really wanted to destroy and one who was the mouthpiece for Wenger in much the same way Roy is for SAF. I feel part of our fuel was dissapated when he left and it's comment like the one about Ruud above that show what I mean. Can you imagine the sheer amount of ..beef... this comment would have caused if he was still in the EPL? You'd have FA inquires and a new war of words between the players and managers and we'd be wanting to make sure we crush them more then anythig else.
As it stands now the only way we will see the backlash to these kind of words is if we pull thru the CL and draw Juve somewhere in the KO stages. Apart from that there won't be any retribution. Apologies if anyone has posted this inside a thread. I thought i'd see it as i loged on as it is controversial enough for its own thread. I have yet to read what else he said...but I look forward to seeing what blurb filters out of the NoTW in the next few weeks.
I bet it went down a storm in the van Nistlerooy household...

Viera is right.
He’d be just as right if he said the same thing about Bergkamp.
That’s one sneaky sob.

True but Ruud's the worst. I remember a certian tackle on A.Cole that makes me wince just thinking about it. I'm now watching Van Persie like a hawk.

I love Ruud but he will cheat, cheat, cheat if he thinks he can (a) get away with it, or (b) thinks he'll gain an advantage from it.
Paddy's just as bad though - waaaa, waaaa, waaaa

Full article. Vieira's hypocrisy is quite incredible. This is the same player who has as many misdemeanoiurs in English football having the nerve to call others out? *shakes head.

Indeed. The guy with the worst discipline record in Prem history and captain of a team with a discipline issue that put Leeds to shame. It seems he still cannot accept that fully merited red card. Quite sad Patrick. Ruud was correct when he stated that Vieira had no class.

Viera is right.
I don't think its so much hes "right". At the end of the day its one mans opinion, and you either agree with him or you don't.
As for our disaplinary record, well naturally I'm biased, but i think a good many of the cards we picked up in that period were highly questionable.
Id be interested to see if Chelsea ae picking up an unusual volume of cards nowaday - though I can't be arsed to check for myself. It would certainly point the blame at the referees rather than the clubs if that were the case.

Typical Vieira, pick a fight when no one's around to confront you.
I read that Roy is heading to Turin to yell at Vieira in the tunnel. It'll be nice to see Vieira turn into a sniveling coward again.

Assuming that Roy Keane actually reads the book to find out what has been said, and to be honest I would be suprised if reading was one of his strong suits...

Freud called it "projection" - the root cause of hypocrisy! It's a mechanism of denial - project that which you most dislike about yourself onto others.
