Bundesliga is better. French League you know who's gonna win it but in the Bundesliga their are 2 or 3 teams who could upset Bayren Munich and stop them from winning the title if they are very lucky.

Good poll, I think the record between french and german teams in the Champions League since it exists (1993) is 14-7-14, it couldn't be more balanced. I pick the french one though, even Lille is doing quite good in the CL.

The Germans are far more succesfull in Europe if you look at cups.

Historically, Bundesliga is way better but right now, they're pretty much on par.

I think that the level of play in France is better than the level of play in Germany, however in Germany, the atmosphere is better, the stadiums are more beautiful and there is more audience!!

The german league is the better league, but the French league is far more entertaining.

Exactly.
I for my self do find the Bundesliga more entertaining than any other league except EPL, because the atmosphere is always great (well, forget about Wolfsburg) and because it`s the highest scoring european top league.

French league is underrated in my opinion, at this moment they are on level par.

Both league are on par. The french you know Lyon will win but the Bundesliga you know Bayern will win. I mean look what they did to Werder Bremen on the weekend... I think the only one who can challenge is them is Hamburg if Van der Vaart can keep only leading them. The French, well Lyon is a step above the rest but Paris St. Germain, Monaco, Marseille, Lille, Bordeaux can all spure suprises and it's the same way with the Bundesliga. You have Bayern Munchen as the top as is with Lyon, then you have Werder Bremen, Hamburg, Schalke 04, Stuttgart, and possibly now Hertha Berlin. Therefore they're similarly structured.. The next step is to become like Italy, England, or Spain... to get 2 teams who challenge for the title consistently. Right now that isn't happening in Germany or France. You always have Lyon and Bayern with a support team, such as PSG this season (although I'm hoping that they can stay there), Lille last season, Monaco the year before. As for Germany, Bayern and Hamburg this year, Bayern and Schalke 04 last season, Werder Bremen (a sensational season with Ailton) beating Bayern. Thus we need to get 2 bigger teams together. In my opinion, the future holds L'OL and PSG in France with Bayern, Werder, and Hamburg possibly. Although I would like to see L'OM mixing it up alongside Lille and Monaco each year. Though I never want Marseille to win it by any means!!!! :D

Die Bundesliga is superior. Look at what has happened over the last 5 years. It is far more competitive than Ligue 1 in every single way.

Check the tables., plus a good CL run doesn't automatically make your league better. Besides, it is only Lyon doing anything good.

the Estonian league could be competitive with about 10 teams going for the title but does that make it strong?

Clearly not, so it is a moot point. French football is Lyon, end of story. The same cannot be said of German football.

Well, could it be said that Bundesliga has more leveled ability throughout, while Ligue Un has less balance (better few top teams)?
Maybe five or ten years from now Bundesliga will be clearly better.

I doubt that : Strasbourg, 20th in the french league with 0 victories, has won all of its 4 matches in the UEFA cup. Don't think a regional liga team can do that ...
