Well, i have 8 pairs of vapors and they all hurt for the first 2-3 times of wear and all i done was wear tubigrip round my ankles and then the football sock over top or vise versa if you wana look pretty. And yes, vaseline is useful to, just rub ontop of the ankle area of sock or boot and it should reduce the friction. Don't know what this is all about >>>

ya vapors are very disgusting when first bought! I bought them in the begining of the season, and wore them like 5 games later, because the grass was usually wet, so i was wearing my Nike Tiempo Soft Grounds, when i first wore the vapors, it was during a game, a game that was very important in the season. About 20 minutes in the started to hurt my ancle a bit, but i could still play, 30 minutes later it was at the point where i couldnt run, but was forcing myself through the whole game. I ended up having the biggest blisters. So i bought F50+ they were incredible!so for like a month i made my little brother wear my vapors even though they were a bit too big on him, i made him wear them for his soccer. near the end of the season i tried them on and they felt like HEAVEN! and have been wearing them ever since. So after that long story LOL, my point is vapors are incredible cleats, but have to be broken into

Purely by chance, I have. They (the socks) are AWFUL for football. The two layer design means that your foot is constantly sliding around inside your boots/trainers - it almost feels like you can't stand up! And as a result is realy un-nerving to try and play football in. :(

I've only had two pairs of vapors, but never had to break a pair in. They are the best boots in the world and were comfortable from the moment i put them on. Simple as. :)
Vaseline and plasters (or band aids???) seem the best bet for me though. :D
