I didn't miss it, I was asking to confirm since I was hoping I had not read it correctly.

Is anyone planning on trying both the ussoccer and fifa for their tickets? Fifa is releasing the next phase on the 12th also, Id be bummed if I didnt get the US tickets and miss the chance through fifa also.

From the FIFA website:

"The third sales phase will begin 12th of December 2005 and will end 15th of January 2006. The procedure corresponds to that of phase one: All properly submitted registrations received during this stage will be considered for allocation. If the number of submitted applications for tickets exceeds the number of tickets set aside for this stage, tickets will be allocated by draw on 22nd of January 2006."

You should know whether or not you have tickets from the USSF by the deadline to enter the next lottery is.

Yeah, I originally hadn't even planned to bother with matchtickets and just go there and be part of the experience (figured I didn't have a chance in hell of getting tix) but I got the presale info from USSF and caved.

Curious : What's 8% and how fast do you think they'll sell out?

Have no clue.

The smallest stadium, I'd guess, is 40,000. 8% of that is 3,200 tickets.

Is it possible for me to purchase Match Specific Tickets because I cant get over to germany until the Round of 16. So after the drawing can I see the games and buy specific tickets for quarters semis and round of sixteen or do I have to purchase those for way above face value from a outsider.

Yes..it is on the FAQs

24. Will I have to order tickets for the three (3) Group Matches to be able order tickets for the Round of 16 and beyond?

No. You will be able to order specific U.S. matches using the order form provided by U.S. Soccer. There are no requirements to purchase any of the Group Matches in order to be able to purchase tickets for the Round of 16 and beyond.

I think Teresa and USSF did a heck of a job putting the FAQs together, so why is not everyone reading them??

I agree, the FAQ's should answer just about any question people have.

US Soccer just sent out an email as a confirmation to those who were registered in time for the world cup ticket sale. Not really any news except that it mentions two friendlies for early next year:

January 22, 2006: U.S. Men vs. Canada (West Coast location, to be finalized)
February 10, 2006: U.S. Men vs. Japan (San Francisco, Calif.)

Alright, well I might be this close to getting really ********ing pissed off. I've been registered and getting emails for at least 5 years, since well before the last WC, and I did not get any of this ticket info sent to me!!

I logged into my acount and all the info is still correct. Anyone have any tips on who I can ask about why this has happened and what can be done???

Your the first Ive heard this happen to, PM me and I can send you to the right person. The ussoccerfan list was locked down Nov 20th but it sounds like you should be ok. Did you check your spam filter/folder ?

One last thing, this info was IN the World Cup Ticket Email test the 29th I think, you sure you just didnt overlook it ?

Sometimes the links get buried in threads, here they are again one more time:

US World Cup Ticket FAQ:
http://www.ussoccer.com/schedule/content.sps?iType=4165&icustompageid=16215

and just one additional note to the FAQ:
Good news everyone. USSF will be including a line for Sam's Army on the
final ticketing order form. It will be something like below:

Check this box if you would like your tickets in seating dedicated for
Sam's Army. U.S. Soccer does not have final control of ticket allocations from FIFA, and there is no guarantee we will be able to accommodate this request, but best efforts will be made to seat you in a designated area for Sam's Army.

Bottom line, we have not received any kind of assurance from FIFA that
we will be able to seat groups together, but we are going to do
everything we can to try and make this happen (whether that means
getting approval from them, or submitting the orders together, or
whatever) We will see if we can pull it off.

*Continue to encourage people who want to be seated with Sam's Army to sign up for Category 3 tickets.

Two delivery questions which the FAQs don't seem to answer:

1. Can two or more Ticket Order Forms (seperate forms from different applicants with different passwords and with different "family" members) be faxed together to US Soccer beginning on the afternoon of Dec 12? Or must each fax be limited to one Ticket Order Form?

2. Likewise, if the fax doesn't go through, can a Fed Ex package include two or more Ticket Order Forms? Or is it required that only one Ticket Order Form be included with each Fed Ex package?

I did try e-mailing Teresa with this but no reply as of yet. Any guidence would be appreciated.

Hi Tom, does this adress it ?

25.

Yes. FIFA has placed a limit to the number of tickets and matches a "household" can order. A "household," as defined by FIFA, is "one surname at one delivery address." All orders placed through FIFA’s public sales, Member Associations, or any other method will be combined by FIFA and may not exceed the maximum quantity allowed for each price level.

For price category 1, 2, or 3, a household can order a maximum of four (4) tickets for up to seven (7) matches (a total of 28 tickets all together). EXAMPLE: If you have been allocated four (4) tickets to each of the first three Group Matches (a total of 12 tickets all together) by FIFA or another Member Association, you are still eligible to place an order for four (4) tickets to the remaining four (4) matches (a total of 16 tickets all together) through U.S. Soccer.

For price category 4, a household can order a maximum of two (2) tickets for up to three (3) matches (a total of 6 tickets all together). EXAMPLE: If you have been allocated two (2) tickets to Group Match 1 and Group Match 2 (a total of 4 tickets all together) by FIFA or another Member Association, you are still eligible to place an order for two (2) tickets to one (1) of the remaining matches (Group Match 3, Round of 16, Quarter Finals, etc.) through U.S. Soccer.

PLEASE NOTE:

* If you have already been allocated tickets in price categories 1, 2, or 3, any additional tickets ordered through U.S. Soccer must be in price categories 1, 2, or 3.
* If you have already been allocated tickets in price category 4, any additional tickets ordered through U.S. Soccer must be in price category 4.
* It is not possible to apply for tickets for several matches which take place on the same day.
