** ussoccerfan.com member list now frozen (12-12 Presale re.)**

FYI: The www.ussoccerfan.com member list is now frozen (as of 11-20-05) until the W/C Ticket sale, so if or some reason you had not registered yet, but are expecting to buy supporter W/C tickets Dec. 12th please make arrangements at this time to order with someone who is registered. FYI-BD

*Important Note for USSF W/C Presale-US Supporters Section!!*

Good news everyone. USSF will be including a line for Sam's Army on the
final ticketing order form. It will be something like below:

Check this box if you would like your tickets in seating dedicated for
Sam's Army.
U.S. Soccer does not have final control of ticket allocations from
FIFA, and there
is no guarantee we will be able to accommodate this request, but best
efforts
will be made to seat you in a designated area for Sam's Army.

Bottom line, we have not received any kind of assurance from FIFA that
we will be able to seat groups together, but we are going to do
everything we can to try and make this happen (whether that means
getting approval from them, or submitting the orders together, or
whatever) We will see if we can pull it off.

*Also, I think you are already doing this, but continue to encourage
people who want to be seated with Sam's Army to sign up for Category 3
tickets.*

I am in the process of renewing my passport, does anyone know if I can still use my expired passport number to order the tickets? I'll definately have the new passport before June. I guess I'm asking if your passport number stays the same when you renew it.

well I just had extra pages added to my passport (actually december '04). The Charleston passport branch took three (3) weeks between the day I dropped it in the mail box and the day I recieved it in my own inbox. My passport # naturally stayed the same. 29 countries and counting.....

One thing I got from this is that you need a US Passport for each ticket and that really, really upsets me considering my wife is not a US citizen (she has British & Irish passports). She is a USMNT supporter and has lived in this country for 7 years but has never decided to apply for US citizenship. I put an email in to US Soccer to see if something can be worked out but I'm not holding my breath.

Another thing is that they are only mailing the tickets to the billing address on the card at the time of application. Well, what happens if you move? My wife and I are moving between now and May and I certainly wouldn't want my tickets going through the month-long journey that is mail forwarding.

Did you hear anything about the non-Us Passport Issue? Im in the same situation. My friend that wants to come has a Venezulan and Spanish passport;

16. If I reside outside of the U.S. States, but have a valid U.S. Passport number, can I order tickets through the ussoccerfan.com pre-sale?

Yes. As long as the ussoccerfan.com member submitting the order can provide a valid U.S. passport number, a non-U.S. billing/delivery address may be used on the ticket order form. “Ticket Holders” listed on the order form will still need to provide addresses and passport/identification numbers, however, this information can be from a different country than the U.S.

17. If I am not a U.S. citizen (and therefore do not have a U.S. Passport Number), but I reside within the United States, can I still order tickets through the ussoccerfan.com pre-sale?

Yes. As long as the ussoccerfan.com member submitting the order can provide a valid U.S. billing/delivery address, a non-U.S. passport number may be used on the ticket order form. “Ticket Holders” listed on the order form will still need to provide addresses and passport/identification numbers, however, this information can be from a different country than the U.S.

A couple of questions:

About the passport issue--I have no idea how they work. If you let yours lapse, will the number the same if you renew? And corrolary to that, as I believe someone already asked, can you use the number, even if the passport has lapsed, but knowing that renewal will happen between now and June 06?

For delivery methods, no "in-person" delivery, but what about courier? That is as "in-person" as DHL or Fedex, but it is not me, personally, who is doing it...

Sounds like I should ask Soccer House...

No. You get a new number upon renewal.

"7. Will U.S. Soccer be prepared for the anticipated number of orders to be received via fax?

Yes. Special accommodations have been made by U.S. Soccer in preparation to receive the large number of anticipated ticket orders via fax."

This is reassuring. Plus, I won't need to pay for overnight delivery. UPS told me that it would be $23 from where I live.

US Soccer just sent out an email as a confirmation to those who were registered in time for the world cup ticket sale. Not really any news except that it mentions two friendlies for early next year:

January 22, 2006: U.S. Men vs. Canada (West Coast location, to be finalized)
February 10, 2006: U.S. Men vs. Japan (San Francisco, Calif.)

BUMP.

My question is:

Does requesting one certain category improve ones chance of being successful in getting tickets from the US Soccer? The reason that I say this is that based on what I am reading about FIFA's next conditional ticket offering I get the impression that because most of the tickets being turned back to FIFA are expected to be Category I that you can improve your chances by requesting Category I. Can anyone clarify this?

Good question.

This is a case where I don't need to pay Category I prices for a seat, but I will pay for Category I if Category II or III aren't available. Does anyone out there (BigDog, et al.) have any idea whether the form will force buyers to specify one price category out of I, II, or III, or whether it will allow you to indicate that you'll take whatever tickets (I, II, or III) are available? If you can't do the latter, then Kevin Etzel's question becomes a pretty important one...

Dont know that one guys, sorry.
My advice would be to take a deep breath, read the order info and faq at ussoccer.com, avoid any mistakes, be on the ball, and order what you want the first couple days.

I don’t think this has been asked yet:

For safety reasons I would prefer to FedEx my order in rather than faxing and not being certain that it went through. Will US Soccer begin processing the orders immediately, i.e. faxes will all be a day ahead?

Is anyone planning on trying both the ussoccer and fifa for their tickets? Fifa is releasing the next phase on the 12th also, Id be bummed if I didnt get the US tickets and miss the chance through fifa also.

Looks like you missed page 3 of this thread......
Ticket locations are set by Fifa btw.

===============================
Just remember this....
The problem with CAT IV is they are only offered from the Prelim round (matches 1-3) through USSF and cannot be combined with tickets from CAT IV. If you are staying past the prelim round you need to get CAT III. Please read the USSF info carefully and have everything planned out with CORRECT
INFO FOR EACH ticket.
