That's tough! I'd say you should hit Kinko's (which is how I sent my form in for the last WC) but if there's no overnight mail at your location, there's probably no Kinko's. I'd say maybe scan it, e-mail to a friend, have him/her print and fax it. Long procedure, but...
I'm thinking that Kinko's hasn't sold Franchise Rights yet for Iraq. Maybe in a few more weeks.

this might be a stupid ? but here I go....It states that you must kno all the information for each possible ticket holder. I was planning on bying 2 tickets 1 for me and 1 for another(not sure yet) so this means I cant do this and I can only get 1 for myself?????
I went to Euro2004 and it was alot simpler than this....you could even by tickets on the street if necessary, but i guess thats what tehre tryin to prevent

I got the same email. The part about needing a passport for every ticket is really distressing. I don't have anyone to go with, but would like to try for two tickets. A partner prolly would not be too hard to come by when there is a trip to Europe on the line, but gotta have the tickets to make myself appealing. Oh, Catch-22!

Jayhawk I can count you with my group if you'd like. I think I will either be looking to order 2, 3, or 4 tickets. We are originally from Tulsa as well.

PM me and we'll talk.

I have a couple of questions, hopefully somebody on this site might have a few answers.

What happens if you get tickets and somebody in your group can't go? Is there a procedure to contact USSF and get them to change the personal information for that ticket?

I'm currently in a group that includes me and two other people, should we all apply and put our information on each others application, or just one application?

I hope they have the capacity to receive 5000 faxes at once or it could be a very unproductive day for me standing at the fax machine all day getting a busy signal.

Does anyone else think it would be easier if they did this through email by filling out a pdf form of some kind?

I remember reading that FIFA said you can change ticket names and stuff... but you better - in essence- have a damn good reason for it.

Does anyone know for sure that the mailing address will be in Chicago? That is USSF's home, but there might be a processing facility somewhere else that can handle the thousands of applications.

I bet you'll get it, they've been pretty flexible, and if not, you can email the scanned forms to me, I'll print them out and fax them in.

I may have to take you up on that. No response from US Soccer after two emails asking about emailing the forms in.

Don't think e-mail will be allowed:

U.S. Soccer recommends submitting your order via a method with delivery confirmation (i.e. fax, DHL, Certified Mail, FedEx, etc.). Orders will not be accepted by any other delivery method - including in person or via e-mail. Due to the anticipated amount of orders, U.S. Soccer will not be able to give immediate confirmation of receipt, however, confirmation will be sent via e-mail within two (2) business days of receipt at U.S. Soccer.

If anyone else is planning on moving between 12/12 and the WC and doesn't want your tickets lost in mailville, I received an email from USSoccer saying that we can change the mailing address after the fact.

Everyone, as Joe Mauceri was so nice to point out,
*CAT 3* Are the Upper Deck seats. See this Map from the FIFA site.
http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/tickets/prices.html
So it is pretty safe to say if you purchase CAT 3 or 4 USSF Tickets you will be with/close other US Supporters.
This IS the way to go!!!
Good luck to you all.

Looking at the map CAT IV looks like the best choice - close to at least half of the action and close enough to make some noise.

I had some CAT I tickets for WC2002 and that was a huge waste of money. I was out in the corner barely even with the endline. I'm going for CAT IV this time. Waiting for the day...

I really runs the gammut with FIFA. I got CAT 1s in Japan and one game we were beyond the corner and another we were front row behind the benches. They should add a category of seats from top of one 18 to the other, that way you know you're getting a decent seat.

The only caveat with CAT 4s is that you can only get tix for a total of 3 games, instead of the 7 allowable for CATs 1-3.

Just remember this....
The problem with CAT IV is they are only offered from the Prelim round
through USSF and cannot be combined with tickets from CAT IV. If you
are staying past the prelim round you need to get CAT III. Please read
the USSF info carefully and have everything planned out with CORRECT
INFO FOR EACH ticket. You will not have a second chance.

*Important Note for USSF W/C Presale-US Supporters Section!!*

Good news everyone. USSF will be including a line for Sam's Army on the
final ticketing order form. It will be something like below:

Check this box if you would like your tickets in seating dedicated for
Sam's Army.
U.S. Soccer does not have final control of ticket allocations from
FIFA, and there
is no guarantee we will be able to accommodate this request, but best
efforts
will be made to seat you in a designated area for Sam's Army.

Bottom line, we have not received any kind of assurance from FIFA that
we will be able to seat groups together, but we are going to do
everything we can to try and make this happen (whether that means
getting approval from them, or submitting the orders together, or
whatever) We will see if we can pull it off.

*Also, I think you are already doing this, but continue to encourage
people who want to be seated with Sam's Army to sign up for Category 3
tickets.*

My question is:

Does requesting one certain category improve ones chance of being successful in getting tickets from the US Soccer? The reason that I say this is that based on what I am reading about FIFA's next conditional ticket offering I get the impression that because most of the tickets being turned back to FIFA are expected to be Category I that you can improve your chances by requesting Category I. Can anyone clarify this?

I don't think so. On the original application for the lottery, FIFA gave you an option to buy more or less expensive tickets if that was all that was available. Maybe we'll see the same thing here. This is pure speculation, but I think that the more likely case is that US Soccer takes orders for their 8% overall and FIFA takes it from there, and not, say, 8% of the cat I, 8% of the cat II etc...
