I think they might be one of the oldest clubs in Ecuador 1905? He was telling me Patria is still around down in the third division and one was once one the biggest clubs in Guayaquil. Norte America is another old club from Guayaquil that is still around with alot of history.

F.C. Patria is a futbol team that had great prominence in the 50's and 60's. I should know, my uncle played for them at that time : Fortunato Chalen - Centre Back

Does Filanbanco still play ??Absolutely not, there's no more Valdez either, nor Everest, beside Patria(which is very much alive in 3rd dividsion, Tanque Hurtado played for them last year, Carabali, Energio Diaz) Barcelona end Emelec is all that is left,

I wish Patria was in the first division like the old times... Barcelona needs a worthy opponent or more in the neighborhood.. Barcelona along with the pitufos is all that has survived from guayaco futbol history.

I want to see Manta FC and Portoviejo come the 1st div as well.
