On my laptop I'm running NetBSD 2, using windowmaker and a large amount of KDE applications to get by - Koffice, Konqueror, and Kate.

For media I have installed the KMplayer, and I have to say it does an awesome job for anything Quicktime. Real Player and Windows Media, there are some issues. Of course, for some reason MLSnet movies will not play.

Has anyone here come up with a solution to viewing MLSnet videos on their open source machine?

FWIW, I have been able to get sound out of the MLSnet videos using kmplayer, but still no visual. I will keep working on it.

VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) is a great program that runs on various versions of Linux. I've watched MLSnet videos on it before with no problem, but I'm running the Windows version.

How could I forget about VLC? Thanks for the tip, I'm installing it now.
