I know in the past Comcast sports net has televised some DC United games; however, will they be showing dc united games this year? Also, shouldn't Comcast show more DC united games as i recall they probably showed less than 8 games last year. Or perhaps should news channel 8 buy the right to televise dc united?

I don't care who shows them, just show all the away games. The deal they signed last year was assinine at best. I think they televised something like ten games and half of those were home games!!

geez, I'd just settle for some english language radio broadcasts. I think the coverage of United is pathetic at best, sickening in reality, and an embarrassment for a city which thinks of itself as a "world class" city. We deserve better: like a real stadium, with real beer....ummmm.....beeeer

The biggets problem was the lateness of the schedule, which was caused by contraction. I heard somewhere that the schedule is done with just TV issues to be ironed out so hopefully they are trying to make things as TV-friendly as possible.

The big problem is to get the team as much exposure as possible, they kind of need Comcast Sports as much as possible. And they have the Orioles and all those other things, leaving United as a last choice.

I agree away games should be the priority with the possibility of showing some home games on tape delay if there is a conflict with the O's.

I'm hoping its Comcast. We don't get channel 8 here in Newport News. Without comcast, I would go crazy. Even though its not enough coverage, I need something, whether home or away. Though I understand people's reasoning for wanting the away matches televised. I think every game not being televised should at least have a webcast or matchtracker at the official site.

We don't get News Channel 8 in DC with Direct TV. Maybe it would be in the shoot-out package.

I just saw a D.C. United season ticket promo on Comcast during the Caps/Devils match tonight..

This can only be interperated as a good sign that Comcast is on board with United..

Now if we can only get a decent TV package...

I have DirecTV anyway, so I get to see most of the games regardless...

For the most part, every United match that wasn't televised either Nationally (ESPN2) or on Shootout (which includes Comcast) was webcast on www.dcunited.com

It's the PPV package for MLS. You get the local feeds from other games.

Comcast SportsNet Baltimore/DC will broadcast DC United matches. Along with the CN8 channel. If they do get shown in the MD/DC/VA Area.

MLS in general needs exposure, so any broadcast game on Comcast is a very good thing. Getting in-market away games is a good idea, but not quite as crucial IMHO. Definitely the more games the better though.
