Hard to predict until the Canadian team is selected.

I'd be surprised if Canada wins this match...

Going to bring a complete "B" team?

I assume not, because a complete "B" team usually means the 18 players (or more) who are not even on the bench for the A-team.

Ever the optimist Krammerhead. :)
Say, where have you been on the V-board recently? Without you, there's nobody on the board to share my subtle Rutle references with.
In terms of the question, I would agree with Gordon - I want to know who is called for Canada before I make a prediction.

Back awhile ago minorsoccer.com was posting crap about Calgary. I responded with some actual facts and links to official match reports to refute his claims that their stadium has a capacity of only 1800. We responded back and forth around 3 or 4 times, and a few others did also. Then I turned in for the night. The next day I went to the board to read the new messages to see one that claimed that "Krammerhead and minorsoccer.com" are making the board difficult to read with their arguing". I don't know why once again I was singled out, what with many others involved (and after all I thought it was a discussion board-he made comments and I replied). I figure theres not much point going to a board where others try to dictate what you can talk about and what you can't just because they don't like the topic. Besides, why go somewhere where people always single you out for grief?

Alright, technical kid, will we be seeing the likes of Radzinksi and/or whoever your top A-League players are, or will we be seeing some scrubs from Calgary?

I believe that most of our UK based players will not be available. Consequently, there will not likely be more than 6-7 A team players present even if Holger wants to bring his strongest team. We won't know until the roster is announced. It won't be the full national team by any stretch and definitely will not feature radzinski.

I think you are being too sensitive K-head. You would have to agree that you are one of the more truculent and irascible member of the Voyageurs and as such you make a bit of an impression for that. Most people accept that however and take it in stride. And I know that I for one do not skip your posts. So why let them (us?) drive you away? You obviously garnered some value from the board, and I know the board garnered considerable value from you. Its a loss for both IMHO.

Perhaps I come off as truculent and irrascible, if only because I respond to comments on any discussion board as if I were shooting the bull with a bunch of buddies in person. That is I don't respond to every post as if I need to write a politically correct press release just because I am responding by typing instead of speaking.
I don't mind being called out on the carpet if I deserve it (yes sometimes I do), it just becomes a pain in the ass when it comes undeserved. Who can forget the time that I posted that I thought fieldturf might freeze and become slippery in freezing temperatures to be told that I was a moron and all my further post should be tainted by this fact. (Had I made that remark I'd have been reprimanded by the masses, because it was made towards myself there was not one response).
Anyway I may be being too sensitive, but hell when you can avoid the problem why not?

Getting players from European countries.
Englnad: Not likely to see Radz or Brennan since they will likely be need. We might get Lars and some other in the lower divisions.
Scotland: Wouldn't be surprised to see some of our players there being on the team.
Germany: Might see Stalteri, DeGuzman and compnay since it looks like the German leagues won't start up until the end of January.
Menezes will liekly join from China.
At to that promosing players from the A-League and NA-based veterans (DeRosario and Onstad)

I guess I am saying that most of us go about it that way as well. As if we were sitting around a pub shooting the bull. A few don't, but why let them drive you away?

Wasn't that remark made by minorsoccer.com, of whom I, and many others, spoke in favour of banning?

Its your choice Krammerhead. I hope you'll reconsider at some point.

Scrubs from Calgary kicked your U20s ass twice this year. The future is ours.

Actually that quote was made by the guy called "trillium".
Anyway, no worries, lets get this thread back to the score predictions.

Trillium's at best an very occasionnal poster with mostly innaccurate info (he was sure to have the inside scoop on a Montréal soccer/cricket stadium a while back).

I'll second that.
BTW, It looks like I'll be down at the match, having found an affordable flight & someone to split hotel costs with.

Ghana won a youth world championship. Didn't help their senior team too much, did it? At the U20 level Canada has somewhat of an advantage over the US in that most of your players are true professionals. Even though we could select an all pro team for some reason Rongen idiotically chooses to keep capping college kids. Athleticism doesn't help if you don't understand the nusances of the professional game. Obviously at the pro level we're quite a bit ahead of you.
