Who will employ them when they aren't educated? Go to school, stay in school, stay out of gangs. Work hard. There is always work if you're qualified. Skin color comes second to color of money to businesses. That's a fact.
You need to know a little history of the immigrant experience as relating to people who come over from north Africa, Tunisia, Morocco etc before commenting on this subject. First of all most of them came illegally which means that they were not wanted or welcome. They were deprived of most of the resources from education to employment and other social opportunities. This is why most of them are in the suburbs out side the major cities.
So you tell me if you are denied opportunities of advance with all the inequalities in the society, how are they going to go out and get an education. Do not forget that most of them can barely afford the school tution and expenses. The French government partly is to blame and it`s good that the whole world now is looking at more injustices that face people of color and minorities. They need to look at the reasons behind the riots which stem back years and years ago, force will not work here. A compromise and dialogue has to be reached and Paris has to listen otherwise we will start seeing more dead bodies.
Those people have sound reasons as to why they are rioting. The death of the two boys. R.I.P was just a catalyst to what was about to happen any way. They are simply fed up of the oppression which obviosly is indirect. I`m telling you this is more than just the french premier saying that it`s a gang of thugs. Keep me updated and you will see where this will end.

well aparently these curfews are working its slow but its better than nothing since apparently the riots are not as bad as before, though that mite be due to lack of cars left to be burned :sigh:
Curfews don`t work in such situations. They are only aggravating the problem. The message curfews convey is simply that we are not going to listen to your grievances but we are going to use any possible force to crash you. Which won`t bring success even if Paris wants it to look like this is not a major problem. This is huge and time will tell when it will be solved.
The community leaders have to play a huge role in letting the rioting masses know that the federal government is listening at least to a history of thier grievances.

Dude, you just glossed over the fact that they are illegals! Not a big deal to you? Now the solution is simpler than I had thought. Send all the illegals back.
Well, I guess they are now, sort of.

The number of icident was dropping in the Parisian suburbs even before the state of emergency. I think they're more or less done for the moment.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying, but the vast majority of these guys aren't illegal immigrants. Their parents and grandparents immigrated from Algeria when Algeria was a territory. Algeria was as French, as Hawaii is American. There were open borders, and Algerians held French passports.

They are not illegal, they are full-fledged French citizens. That IS the problem. They riot because they feel entitled to the same opportunities that white French have. If they were illegal, then they could (and would) get kicked out of the country for this. They wouldn't spend the night in jail, they'd spend it in a plane to Mali or Senegal or Algeria.
You'd be surprised at how law-abiding most illegal immigrants are. Because they know that if they draw any attention to themselves they'll be sent home packing. Read the papers, and think before you type, man.

Thanks for the correction on the issue of them being legal. Now i even see from the points you and sl7vk are making that the French government has to eliminate the existing barriers. They should be given an equal opportunity since as you are saying, they are full-fledged french citizens.

Now that they are not illegal immigrants what solution do you have for them? I guess we should leave this to the federal government in Paris.

It`s not that they don`t like France, who would hate his country? They are only trying to voice out thier grievances. I think they have a justfied reason to seek equality in all circles in the french society. Put your self in thier shoes and you will see how hurting it is.

Well, the wine and cheese are safe, so we are going. Let's face it, keeping the wine and cheese safe is the most important thing.

Do you live in Grenoble? A friend of my wife's family lives near there on a farm. He's invited us to go truffle hunting! Is there a soccer club in Grenoble? I'll have to get a scarf.

it is more like these cretins expect an advanced humanistic, secular judeo-christian european society to lower itself across the board to become casbah like muslim slum. if they don't feel comfotbale living among non muslimes, then LEAVE. NOW!
