whether by its fans, its tradition, or its owners?
I heard that Real Madrid and Barcelona is prided for playing attacking soccer. However, I might not be correct in that. Anyway, do you know any soccer clubs that is emphasized to play attacking minded football?
Oh, include national teams in your list too. I think Brazil play attacking minded football.
For MLS, I think Chivas USA is mandated by its owner to play attacking football like its parent club.

Every great club in Brazil must play offensively. The NT is no different.
Like 30% of the population would like to see our 5 best playing together.
Ronaldo, Adriano, Robinho, Ronaldinho and Kaka.
Many would include Juninho P. there aswell.
A poll was made last month.

ajax was the first team that came to mind. they get booed off the pitch at half time even if theyre up 4-0 if theyre not being spectacular. for ajax fans winning aint enough. they want to be entertained.

Manchester United have always tried to play attacking football. Arsenal have been playing great attacking football for the past couple of years, despite their reputation for being a boring side in the past.

Is there really any other option then Ajax? We must be hardest croud in the world, we want 90 minutes of entertaining football and results. That and it has to be achieved in one of the hardest systems to play in in the world.
I guess you could say we are a bunch of spoiled brats, but that is what you get when you see Cruijff, van Basten, Bergkamp, Keizer, Swart, Rijkaard, Neeskens, Krol, Koeman etc rise.

Barcelona and Real Madrid. Equally as tough a crowd.

But atleast Real and Barca don't have the problem of everything having to be done in our impossible system. With us scoring from a counter is dirty wether you are leading by 4-0 or need the goal to get the the semi-finals in the CL. Any goal not made by perfect team play is immediately qualified as luck. We will boo you so bad after 5 minutes of playing poor you don't even want to ;play good anymore.
It's sad, but it's true. Sometimes I think our players must hate us.

West Ham come to mind. Though their fans probably aren't as bad as Ajax's they still expect entertaining football.

Barcelona and Real Madrid. Equally as tough a crowd.you may be right, but its still very different. barca and real madrid fans have a right to expect spectacular football considering what they do on the transfer market. ajax sell their best players and still their fans expect them to play like brazil every game.

In England it is Spurs.
Sadly in the last 10 years we have rarely played either entertaining or successful football.

It's in Marco van Basten's contract to play entertaining or attractive or something like that football. (Oranje/Holland)

seriously? so if holland win the world cup they might sack him cause they werent entertaining? i find that hard to believe. national teams are about one thing and one thing only -- winning

You shouldn't underestimate it.
Under Advocaat we played not good football but kept winning (for a while at least), the amount of criticism he got at Euro 2004 brought him close to crying at a press conference.

And that's just Oranje, at Ajax it's much worse.

Brazil? We want to be way more dominating then Brazil, Brazil is known to give away some space to hit harder when they attack. At Ajax it's all about getting the opponement locked up on his own half and then reach your strikers and midfielders with well placed crosses so you score your goals.

now people might laugh, but the starchan-era saints were always so appealing for their attacking style.. even when 1-0 up in the 80th min, they'd be fighting for more

Boavista FC has always been an attacking club, even against their strongest rivals. Their 4-2-2-1-1 formation is incredible for getting around and setting up perfect crosses, and with strikers like Pinto and Souza, it works well. I would like to see more teams move towards this type of formation. Another favorite is the 4-1-2-1-2.

An interesting article about Ajax and the pressure on the 9 to fill the boots of Van Basten and Bergkamp.
