I have the Cellerator GCi in white and silver and they are great. My advice is never get the KSL's even if they are like 50$, the KSl are probably one of the least durable cleats on the market. I have hear dmany horror stories of KSL wearing down and splitting after 3 months.

Sorry, but I beg to differ. The KSL is a great boot, that is why it is/was the choice of so many pros. As I said in another post, I think ADIkeeper must have got a faulty pair. Mine never fell apart on me, & I believe Darren's are in great shape as well. You also have to factor in how they were cared for, cleaned, polished, etc. I would bet the farm that many of your "horror stories" you heard didn't talk about the lack of care they took into maintaining a pro level boot. Did they always leave them in their gear bag, or did they air them out & clean them regularly? Did they keep the Pittard leather polished & conditioned? My guess is probably not.

First off, the KSLs and Cellerators are 2 totally different cleats. It totally depends on what you're looking for.

I own both, and my KSLs have been very durable. I wore them for about 6 months straight, 3 indoor games a week on synthetic grass. I can't imagine have preoblems with them busting. I own 4 pairs of cellerators, and they are by far my favorite boot. Can't beat them as far as comfort, ball touch, and stud grip. To me they are the perfect boot. They are slightly snug at first, but they do break in really quick. No break in time for me at all. I wouldn't recommend them if you have wide feet, Same with the KSLs. Again, it's all dependent on what you want from a boot. If you want lightweight, no frills go KSL, if not go cellerator.

I agree.

I've alternated between two pairs of KSL's the past 6 months or so and both have taken quite the beating, yet they're holding up just fine.

Performance wise: A+

I bought some gold KSL's and they are extremely durable.

They hardly discolour at the toe. Also, I bought a size that was really really tight, and tey have stretched comfortably afrter wearing them.

I highly recommend them. ;)

Do you have the gold FG ones??? I've been looking for a pair forever, I just gave up....

My silver/black ones did have some discoloration at the toes, but I was playing mainly on synthetic grass which is hell on shoes. But in great shape nonetheless.

Yes, I have Gold ones, but they are SG.

They are samples. I don't think the usual ones have the 'ksl' on the tongue or what?

My advice, go leather.
I have the plastic Cellerator 4.
The fact that the boot doesn't shape itself to your foot like a leather boot would, has caused me alot of pain and blistering.
Other than that they are great boots.

Yes, I would choose leather no matter what boot.

Darren seems to be very happy with his synthetic Cellerators, but he generally prefers synthetic boots.

All this talk of KSLs and Cellerators.... I decided to break out the KSLs for training tonight. All I can say is that I now remember why I like them so much. They truely are an amazing boot. ESPECIALLY in wet weather. Grass and air VERY damp, and touch is still amazing. The stud grip is MUCH better on real grass than synthetic grass.

I do prefer synthetics over leather now. I've been wearing my cellerators for a long time, and if not them, my umbro X200s. I don't feel that my silver/red cellerators feel any less "formed" to my feet than my pulses. (than again, maybe I don't wear my pulses enough :D ) I've never had blisters, like apple not having them with vapors. As always, everyone's feet are different. As I see it, KSLs or Cellerators. Either way, you can't go wrong!!

Oh yeah, Gold, silver/red cellerators for 84.99/76.49 GC price??? I might need to order another pair

i had a pair. i hated them. they felt nice at first, but they completely tore up my heels. my vapors left me one blister the first time. these slaughtered both of my heels like the 4 times i wore them.

The KSL is a great boot except the leather, I find is rather stiff. I've had my pair for over a year now and they have been solid. My insoles are starting to wear down, but that's normal.

Note that the KSL's are rather narrow, a little bit smaller in length, and do not stretch. If you can fit in them I would recommend them, you won't be disappointed (especially since they are $60 at eastbay). Another alternative is the Exec's aka the new King SuperLite.

Damn R&W army, you have a ton of kicks!!! You whippersnappers are spoiled!
Back in my day ( I am 29) I had the following for all of my seasons. (please keep in mind my playing career was 14-5 years ago, also consider I was/am a keeper): 2 pairs of copas used throughout year- one for practiv, one for matches - my match shoes I had for 9 straight seasons. 1 pair of world cups.

I also had my "prized" studs- adidas estrusco studs(1st with titanium studs)
-for 6 seasons - :p adidias equipment studs with ceramics. :p - best shoes I ever put on my feat.

Anyway, that was the way it was in my day and darnnit we liked it! :D
Anyway, up the Arse!

So it's been 13 years, and I realized, damn, I have no SG boots. Has anyone used the Cellerator SG? If so how are they seeing that they have the traditional 6 stud config instead of the 8 that adidas has?
