Help! I'm trying to decide between the flex plan and the half season plan. I seem to recall somebody dissing the flex plan (pre-crash)...is there any important info that the DCU official site leaves out that somebody can offer? Much appreciated.

In past years I bought some of my employees a Flex plan for the Holidays. The flex plan gives you the freedom to choose your games. You pick up a voucher at one of the will call windows. I believe seating varies, and is at the discretion of United.

The half season plan gives you ticket in hand, reserved seating and ticket exchange should you miss a game.

I would call DC United directly and get the whole lowdown from them. They'll mail you all the info you'll need.

Half Season- You get tickets to half of the games designated by United as listed on the tickets

Flex Plan- You recieve 6 ticket vouchers that you take to a window at RFK on game day and get tickets for that game. You can also I believe send them in prior and get tickets for a match that way

As a Flex plan holder last year and a half season this year, I can tell you that price wise half season makes more sense. You get 7 regular season games, plus 2 special games (ie Tottenham), an invite to meet the team day and if you buy in a supporters section, you get an even further discount.

You can contact representatives of these groups for more information - LaNorte 120, Screaming Eagles 133, 134 Barra Brava 135

Or you could buy seasons tickets and go to every game. :)

Flex plan is great because you can pick and choose games and who you want to bring. I would buy two sets. Also, if the weather looks like crap and you don't feel like dealing with rain or a monsoon or should your significant other schedule something the same night the MetroStars are in town, you can blow off the game and head to another game at a later date.

Flex'ers don't get the benefits of a regular package or half season plan but as someone who liked to do what I wanted, whenever I wanted (pre marriage), this is the best plan for me.

If you are out of town living in Richmond for example and can get up to RFK on occasion, the Flex plan works well.

DCU's offices will set you up with an exchange if there is a game in your full or half season you can't make. They have been very good in the times I've had to swap tickets.

Bill-DC, who does not work for D.C. United ticket department, just tossing my .02 in.....

But, whatever you do, order some sort of season ticket plan, it helps prove the financial capabilities of the league and sport to potential investors.

you are all forgetting: the half season folks get the scarf!!! My friend, go for the half season; DC United is very generous to allow us to skip our ticketed games and trade them in for any other game. There is no real $$ savings for buying the Flex Plan. You might as well just go to the stadium window and buy a ticket on the days you want to go (the only bad news here is that we will be the most exciting team next year, and tickets for the lower level will be hard to come by as a result). Therefore, get the 1/2 Season. Besides, I need somone to come and scream louder than I do at the refs!

I bought season tickets last week, but wasn't quoted a discount rate by DC office. Anyone know what happened here?

Did you buy them in La Norte?

If so, PM me and I'll figure out what's up.

Thanks,

Sachin

You can get all packages in the Screaming Eagle Nest (sections 133-134 and parts of 132) by contacting the SE ticket mistress at tickets@screaming-eagles.com We offer like $50 off a full season plan in the premium sections elsewhere in RFK. The ticket mistress can give you the prices for all of the plans.

As long as we are advertising our supporters groups...

La Norte- Stand's and Jumps behind the goal- as is the tradition of south american clubs, always has the supplies of streamers and confetti at the ready and if you can come out of La Norte at the end of a game and still have your voice you weren't really in La Norte.... Contact Sachin

Screaming Eagles & Barra Brava- located near Midfield (sections 134-135) Tend to do alot of jumping in the Bouncing Bleachers....

The choir- Behind the eagles and La brava- tend to sing along to the eagles and brava....
