We won both matches 1-0 last season. Of course, the match this weekend has a new twist.........

A Second Chance - Skibbe Now Trainer In Leverkusen (http://www.borussia-dortmund.com/?%E7%86%9C%2Ah%97%84%EC%5Dj%E0%83%99)

Metzelder out and perhaps Rosicky as well:

Though playing with Metzelder would be better, Brzenska was ok against Gladbach. And Kringe wasn't that bad either. But losing Rosicky would def be a shitty thing to happen. I like Kruska, but imho Rosicky and Sahin have the technical skills to initiate our offensive game.

Brzenska was OK against Gladbach, but I worry about him against Berbatov and Voronin.

Brzenska caught a break against Gladbach as Neuville had to retreat to midfield to help win the ball for his team. Something Neuville did very well in and I'd forgotten how tough that little SOB can be.

I agree that losing Rosicky would hurt. I like Sahin, but while we have Rosicky, I'd like to see him out there helping to guide Sahin.

Hopefully Rosicky is just being cautious more than anything.

Some highlights from my awesome German translating abilities: :D

Apparently Leverkusen are glad to see Dortmund coming to town as they’ve won against BVB more frequently than any other Bundesliga side.

Also says Dortmund have not lost since their 3-2 defeat on September 17th to Werder Bremen.

BVB has not won back to back matches so far this season.

Smolarek has been in top form (9 goals), Metzelder to miss out on Leverkusen trip.

BVB haven't won that often this season at all. ;-)

-> 3 wins, 6(!) draws and 2 defeats. :-/

The problem are those many draws. Before the Gladbach match we had 4 in a row. That really hurts. :-(

3-6-2. Crazy isn't it? Couldn't hold a 3-1 lead against Kaiserslautern, that was bad, only drew with FC Mainz away, that was not good either. Of course I am new to supporting BVB and while watching the German Highlight Show on FSC they showed the table and my sister asks, "Which team do you follow?" I told her Dortmund and she was like "6 draws from 11 games?!" On the plus side at least we got ONE point instead of 0. :o

At least two draws were must wins:

Duisburg - we controlled the game, had several chance and then received a stupid goal in the last 10 minutes. :-/

Kaiserslautern - They must have the weakest defense ever to play a Bundesliga match. I still don't know how we blew that one. :-(

And btw, starting to support BVB during this period of turmoil will smash all "band-waggon" allegations forever! ;-)

I think they conveniently forgot that we beat Leverkusen both times last season..........

Also, we beat a Gladbach team in better form than Leverkusen currently is in.

I only worry about Berbatov and Voronin "schooling" Brzenska.

Leverkusen's major malfunction is that they really have no offensive midfield to speak of.

They don't scare me, but we will have to play our best to beat them.

You're right, I read in the BVB web site that we had taken both matches last season.

No band wagon jumping for me! Everyone remember this when BVB is back on top of Germany and contending for European Cups again! ;)

Hey Keith, thanks for the support!

As Keith may remember I was in Germany last summer and just came to adopt BVB as my German club team. My uncle, whom lives in Wiesbaden, is a Bayern supporter......... But he's been since the early '70's so I can't knock him.

That's pretty much how I felt about the game.

2-1, with Ricken scoring for Dortmund.

This game had "lose by a stupid goal in the dying minutes" written all over it. But then again, that's how BVB is these days.

Well, you have to look at one thing. We played for just over half the match with just two true defenders on the pitch.

That will kill most teams. I thought we fought through it well enough. Leverkusen had to win and it showed.

We all in Leverkusen had a good luck:)

I only hope Leverkusen manage to win next games!!
We need more victories.
Where are the good times of Leverkusen?
We were such a great team, played excellent games in Champions League in the past. I think after so many bad luck we deserved this good luck and victory agaist Dortmund:)
