not sure if there's been already a thread about this, but what i'd like to know is to which time and place you would love to go, and why.

the main one for me has to be 1920s Berlin, up to the middle of the 1930s. this city must have been an incredibly dynamic and open city, being one of the main scientific and cultural centres of the world at the time. i would love to see with my own eyes how all that went so terribly wrong in such a short time. i know the history behind all that of course, but what would mainly interest me is talking to the people, see it all developing in front of my own eyes.

I would have liked to see Rome and Giza in their historic glory. Checking out the library at Alexandria would have been interesting as well.

Man, there's a lot of places and times I'd want to go. Wherever and whenever I go, though, I'm getting all my shots, packing plenty of penicillin and vitamins. And taking a gun--no way in hell I'm going to find myself in ancient Sumer armed with nothing but a bronze mace; I like my individual freedom, thank you.

Jerusalem as well, circa 30-33 AD. Would love to see Jesus' miracles. Real or not? It would change my life knowing the answer.

That sounds like the storyline of an alternate history video game that came out a few years back.

Red Storm 2 maybe? Not sure.

Anyway, what happens is Einstein invents a time machine in the aftermath of the Second World War, and sends Allied agents back in time to gun down a young, unknown Hitler in 1920s Berlin. In his absence Stalin becomes the great villian of the 20th century and World War II happens anyway with Allies v. Soviet Union

I would have to go back and invest in some little known companies, make a few bets along the way, things like that for myself.

Maybe kill my grandpa before my mom is born just to see if the paradox happens. :D Just kidding.

There are numerous events I would like to witness. hard to really say which ones I would like to see first or in what order.

But also suppose one of the machines rules are that you can alter the future, but not through violence, or deception, and you also must mantain a low profile. How could one accomplish this?
