There, that was easy wasn't it, can't see many changes from the Liverpool game meself, not a lot to choose from really, I know this thread is way too early, but you gotta start some time! this is from the OS.

Hmmmm. Funny how you disappear for two tough away matches at Bolton and Liverpool and then reappear to start the thread for a home match against West Brom Claret. ;)

You wouldn't be trying to reinforce people's superstition in your *ahem* thread starting powers by any chance...?

OI!!! Don't you question our Claret's powers when it comes to staring threads for games.

I think he must be related to Freddie Kanute.

Claret, apparently you have 'thread staring' powers as well now. :D You never cease to amaze.

Actually I fancy starting a thread one time. Perhaps when we next have a friendly home match against Accrington Stanley with a fully fit squad and having just signed half the Brazilian first team.

I reckon I may discover some thread starting powers of my own then...

Not at all west_ham, I just get lucky now and then, the only thing that "amazes" me is that I still get up each morning and go to work, albeit only part time! by all means start a thread, but I would still like to start the easy ones though, say Chelsea, Arsenal & Man U, have a nice day. ;)

You forgot Spudz.

I can hear our fans at WHL now *Easy, easy, easy*

I thought I'd leave the Spudz starting thread for west_ham to do T, their sort of like Accrington Stanley!!

Hay, lay off the Spurs. Keep it good friendly sportsmanlike banter. Back in the 50's and early 60's I spent many a goog moment in the Chicken Run (my mate was (probably still is) a West Ham supporter). We used to alternate between WHL and Upton Park. Great games, 2 great teams. Come on remind me of some of those 50/60's greats that pulled on the Claret N Blue. Blokes like Woosnan, was it Phil? memory fuzzy now.

I think it would have looked something like this:

Gregory (Standen)
Bond Cantwell (Lyall)
Malcolm Brown O'Farrell
Grice Woosnam Keeble Dick Tucker (Musgrove)

Stop it, I'm getting all teary eyed here. You did forget a young lad called Moore, also Dick and Keeble. First Spuds game I saw was in the cup at WHL. 3-3 after we led 3-2 til 2 mins before the end. We lost the replay by the odd goal in 3. Remember Claret???? ;)

Maybe the squad for Saturday? Any thoughts.

Hislop, Repka, Ferdinand, Gabbidon, Konchesky, Benayoun, Reo-Coker, Mullins, Etherington, Harewood, Sheringham.
Subs: Bywater, Dailly, Collins, Bellion, Aliadiere.

What a long memory you have Tony, that was back in March 1956, we drew 3-3 at WHL and lost the replay a week later 2-1 at home. :(

Not to state the obvious, but this is a must win for us. This will be a great measure of our progress and the three points will be vital to keep us in the top half as our following two games are pretty tough (Spurs away & Man U. home).

Our team that day would have looked like this:

Gregory
Bond Cantwel
Malcolm Brown O'Farrell

I saw some of those guys play in about 1958 when i first went as a 7-8 year old. That was a very committed team long before footballers main commitment was to money.

Something tells me your probably right, I think its the previous 9 games.

Talking of the previous 9 games, I think they have shown us we need a new striker, Left winger and right back.

Has anyone tried this link before, I don't know how good or bad it is, but the posters on WHO recommend it, and the price is not bad at £2.00

I've been using this site for free....

http://www.livesports.co.il/forum/

Ok some games, pretty dodgy for others.

Here is the directions...

To prepere your computer for the coming season....

Download and install the following P2P TV programs:
ppStream
PPlive
Coolstreaming
SOPcast

Also, make sure you have the most up to date versions of:
Windows Media Player v10
Real Player
Winamp Player

The P2P TV programs require a minimum connection of 1meg.
LIVESPORTS broadcasts are fine with a 512k connection.
LIVESPORTS channels only broadcast at game time

Reguarding the game this saterday, we (LIVESPORTS) will be definitely be broadcasting the game.
There could also be a P2P stream of this game available, but this is not yet confirmed.

Glad to have given some of u the opportunity to go back. Scout51, your right about commitment v money. I had some good itmes back then in your Chicken Run, swaying side to side and singing Bubbles whilst wearing my Blue n white scarf. Couldnt do it these days with the attitude thats around - big pity. Talk to u all again before and after the derby.
