I had a quite heated arguement with someone today...raised voices and all that... :rolleyes:

The arguement was if Ferguson has 'lost it' do you think that if he left here(by whatever circumstance) and went to a team like say... Newcastle if he could turn them into title challengers with the funds he would then have.

I don't think Fergie has lost it at all and I argued the case to death that he would turn Newcastle into a serious, top 3 team...ousting someone from that spot who expects to be there every season.

Maybe not Newcastle :rolleyes: , but I think he could turn a team around, especially one that has consistently underperformed. (Maybe Newcastle after all.)

I think that in any sport there comes a time at which players have tuned the manager out. It's silly to think that Fergie has forgotten everything that he has ever known about football, but it's possible that the players are no longer listening. If Fergie went to another team, especially one without recent success, I think those players would listen. Not taking anything away from his accomplishments, but think what an advantage it was for Jose that Chelsea hadn't tasted success in the lifetimes of any of the players.

The Premiership has changed too much. We have been so successful mainly due to what he did with youth development and then the obvious luck that is involved in that. Could he do it again in this current football climate? I think not.

who can tell? I certainly think its possible.. perhaps a change of atmosphere would invigorate him but I'll tell u one thing... playing the negative football w/ out the likes of Rooney, Smith, Ruud, Ronaldo and Giggs to produce the moment of wonder u need to scrape through will make most teams look horrid.
