On a different note, what team do we want to win the MLS Cup and why?

- I am rooting for the the Revolution....they have been the best Eastern Conference team this season. They have TT from University of Maryland, Shalrie, MVP of the league this year, and some good young players, Dempsey, Noonan. They deserve to go all the way.

Colorado. I just dont like the Revs, especially Twellman. Galaxy? Well I dont have to say anything as to why they shouldnt win it, being the Galaxy is reason enough. Chicago, well Chicago already has one and with another they will be halfway to us. Plus theres also that little thing about last Sunday.

Since I don't like the teams I have to choose by player.....

Mike Petke and Colorado

I want Colorado. Although I have to say, the Revs deserve it, and it would certainly spice up an already healthy rivalry.

Mostly, I want an NE vs. CO Cup final--guaranteed a new champion. I don't want the Lalagals to add to their trophy case. As for Chicago, well--I hope the Revs tear them apart.

Maybe this is bad, but if DC United isn't in it, I just don't care.

Ranked from most hated to least hated.

Galaxy
Fire
Revolution
Rapids

I'm not rooting for any of them. It would be most objectionable if the Galaxy won, and least objectionable if the Rapids won.

Maybe MLS Cup 2005 needs to be cancelled all together. I mean its just not right if DC isnt in it. :D Plus PHP isnt even ready.

MLS is dead to me the minute United departed. I'll care again in April.

Colorado, for two reasons:
1- they don't have any cups already. definitely don't want chicago creeping up on our total
2- i hate the revs like none other (except the scum, of course) though i am ready for them to kick the shite out of chicago

I have always hated the Galaxy, thus, they cannot win. Chicago and NE are tied in my feelings - I really don't have any. I'd be most happy if Colorado won.

how can you hate the revs more than the screw? (other than matt reis. him gets special eco-size amounts of hate.)

and i cant root for any of the teams in the east. And i can't root for la in any sense. So yeah, it would bother me the least is the rapids won. (petke)

If the Gals win, I just know that Landycakes the Boy Blunder will show up in all sorts of promotional stuff and that will make me shove my foot thru the tv for that reason I am rooting against them. Okay there won't be that much promotional stuff, he's just annoying and that's reason enough. I hate all the others with my usual level of white hot hate simply because they are not DCU. As posted by others I am rooting for a player, Petke and thus his team by default.

Is it wrong to hope something happens to both team buses on the way there, thus cancelling MLS Cup for this year? :P

I'll have to vote for Colorado too, even though they were a bunch of thugs and hacks in their games against us this year. As long as LA doesn't win I don't care all that much. I won't be actively rooting for any of those teams.

Petke -- at least someone who was in a DCU kit this year can raise the cup

I'm for anybody but the Gals, LandyCakes, and Simpson. Gawd - I hate the GALs...... almost as much as the Metroturds and slightly more than la Goats.

I am rooting for Colorado as I loved seeing Mike Petke's face when he won last year so will be rooting for the under-dogs to go all the way.

The Revs/Fire game should be a good one. THe Fire really handed our arse to us and I thought the Nate and Rolfe tandom up front was dangerous. Nate was a great target forward and won most everything in the air and Rolfe reminds me of Esky, always buzzing around. Add in a solid defense and thier good wingers and they shouldgive the Revs some trouble and make for a great game.

I enjoy soccer and will watch the remaining playoff games. I just wont bleed as much as DC United is not in there anymore.

Maybe a convenient fight over a collective bargaining agreement can break out the day before the Cup, a la the NHL. If not, give Petke another ring. I will always hate Chicago, the Galaxhite will choke as always (I wish literally), and the only silver Matt Reis deserves is the rails along his casket.
