The impression of Manchester United as a club in crisis gained further credence tonight when Roy Keane's blunt assessment of Saturday's 4-1 humiliation at Middlesbrough was pulled off the MUTV schedules.
Keane carried out his brief to analyse the Riverside debacle in the regular 'Plays the Pundit' programme at United's Carrington training ground this lunchtime.
It is thought the veteran Irishman, currently sidelined with a broken foot, offered his usual blunt assessment of United's tepid performance, widely acknowledged by supporters to be the worst since the 3-1 defeat at Manchester City four years ago after which Sir Alex Ferguson famously threatened to throw open the dressing room doors so fans could tell his players what they thought.
But it appears Keane's condemnation was too vicious for some senior members of the Red Devils' hierarchy, who ordered the half-hour programme to be scrapped.
Instead, MUTV executives were forced to show academy action, offering no explanation

That I'd like to see. I bet he let new ownership know his mind. I can't imagine he said anything about SAF. ;)

Rumours abound that Keano ripped into O'Shea and Rio and that's why the broadcast was pulled... no doubt this will be leaked by a MUTV employee looking to get paid backhanding a copy to one of the tabloids for nice tidy £50k, things don't sound good in the camp. If that's what's been said on MUTV can you imagine what's going on behind closed doors!!

MANCHESTER United were last night forced to pull the plug on an explosive interview in which Roy Keane identified the culprits for the club’s malaise. Keane’s frank assessments of the team are nothing new, but on this occasion, pointing the finger at underachieving team-mates, he was so outspoken that the club’s in-house television station was forced into a desperate cover-up.

Has MUTV ever censored the comments of a United player? Glad to see Keano tear into the culprits as that's was needed on Saturday. Hopefully, the club plays with some spark.

Seconded.
If Fergie has to go, the only way I'll feel remotely happy about it is if Keano is the next man in charge.

We all know who the culprit is, don't we? :) Ferdinand owes the fans an apology. You would think that the "world's best defender" ought to be able to man-mark JFH or Yakubu with ease.

I understand your guys's frustration and what not. I also understand the way Keane is and his no holds barred way of doing things.
But you simply dont tear into teammates on a public platform like that (if the rumors are true).
I know his intentions are right and he's only trying to light a match under the arses of these guys but he's only putting more pressure on them and furthering dessension within the ranks.
MUTV shouldve known better than pulling something like this after all four wheels fell off the way they did.
Shiet is hitting the fan.

Why not? I know it causes alot of internal conflict, but given Keane's position as Captain and his position of respect at the club, I believe he can do so without causing too much conflict. Regardless, we know that Keane is not all-too diplomatic. If he wants to spank you, he spanks you. Didn't he slap Phil Neville on-field before?
