Happy Halloween (a little therapy)

After spending the day wallowing in my grief for the debacle yesterday, this came into my inbox and gave me a nice lift (in a different way than the 'day after picture thread'...).

I was at the game, along with my two small daughters, my wife and my stepfather; he and I share season tickets. We had talked in the car on the way to the game about carving pumpkins; he told my daughters that he hadn't done his yet.

Well, he did it today as a kind of therapy and sent me the image; it cheered me up as well. He added the caption: "Despite the embarrassment yesterday . . . "

That is just absolutely too cool! I wonder how long it took to do it? Oh man, I'll have to do that next year and proudly display it at my home in FL, though no one will know what it is.....hey, I can spread the word, right?

Man oh man. 2 years ago during the halloween playoff game me and my gf's brother sat in La Norte, you know, when they still had the north end. (not knocking their current position, just missing their old one.) We drankdrankdrank, threw TP at walker, got confetti in our beer, and watched jaime and namoff score late goals against the metropoops.


last night i watched embarrassment from my couch. and got blackly drunk. and was miserable all day at work. sucky suckness.

happy hallween. and looking forward to a better one next year.

He said it took him about 40 minutes from concept to finish, including cleaning out the pumpkin, sketching and then cutting. He used the logo from his DCU scarf as the model, with the only hard part being what to make dark and what light.
