why the hell can't we buy some of the cool merch that the team has.. like the warm ups with the side zip on the neck. .or any of the warm ups or jackets.. there is all this cool adidas stuff that the team either has or that adidas has for milan or munich.. that all they have to do is slap the badge on. i know they think because of currents sales #'s no one will buy it but that's because what they do sell is crap.. name another league that only sells to fans stuff the team never wears (minus jersey's).

I am not certain but I believe the team holds two "equipment sales" throughout the period fo a year, one during the season and one after the season? May want to check up on this but I think it is open to Season ticket holders. if anything you can get ready for next years sale.

Pints is right. Look for the equipment sale announcement. It will probably be held at the team's offices sometime early in December - and as I understand it it isn't only for season ticket holders. They just only promote it to the hardcores.

They promote the one at meet the team day, but only to season ticket holders (though anyone can hit the sale as it is out side). I've never seen them promote the year end sale. In fact that's how I found Big Soccer because my ticket rep told me to come here and watch for postings about it.

The end of year sale is usually in early Dec. I've already scheduled the week of thanksgiving and 2 weeks for xmas and I still have 11 days I can throw at making sure I am at the equipment sale :D

Look at the bright side. At least all of our 4 star stuff is valid for another year ;) (like that will stop some of us from spending way too much in Dec :D)

Last year they didn't have the cold weather gear. Or at least not when I got in there (about 50th in line). I was looking for those parka-type jackets. Wound up with a reversable fleece and a zip-up warm up. They were each about $50-60.

Thx,

Jay!

Don't think they had them. I was up in the top ten and they were being talked about up there. I didn't see any when I got in (though I went for other things first).

This year i'd love to get my hands on one of them, but i'll settle for a nice warmup suit. Todd had me pick him up a set last year and after getting it home and looking at it, I didn't want to give it up the next day :D

So do they let people in as small groups or all together and its a free-for-all? Is it pretty clear what is where so you can find what you want before it gets snatched up? Thanks!

Since last year's was the only they've had at RFK. I'll pass along how that worked.

They let people into the room in medium sized groups, since it was a fairly large area. Everything is pretty well organized by category. Current jerseys, warmups, shorts, historic jerseys, etc all had their own little area. But yeah, it's a free for all, just mill about and search. Sometimes, they'll have more 'premium' jerseys and stuff behind a table so you'll need to ask for those.

And then there was a long line to go pay Cisco (the DCU equipment manager). As people leave, they let more in.
