England is an odd team. Individually, they could be the best, but they don't seem able to play as a real team.

Injuries plus retirements really. The team Woodward had in 2003 was a key unit that had been together for a while and had been doing well for some time.

We went in as favourites behind the hosts as a result.

France are marginally ahead of the Kiwis for the next WC imo - because of the home soil advantage.

My ex-girlfriend tried to get me into French hip-hop. It was okay, but I had a tough time with it considering I don't speak French (which, granted, hasn't stopped me from amassing a pretty decent Serge Gainsbourg collection). I dug L'Algerino, though.

Understanding french isn't a prerequisite to understanding banlieue rap music.

Its sometimes a language of its own.

The ghetto mon ami.Makes sense - the same as the Spanish barrio, basically.

Seems that the music coming from the French ghettoes is more interesting than those from Latin American ghettoes, though. French rap doesn't get old nearly as quickly as reggaeton.

IIRC, Ganu, Pierre-Henri, Jambon-Beurre, and Guignol are all French, or at least live in France. There may be more.

Ganu, I'm dubbing you honorary French. For what you do on this forum, you're worthy of it.
