Orange! Now that's a color MLS doesn't have. :D

Wow, is that their actual second kit? I'm used to seeing them in orange on AFW and Ganbare.

I would love to see Toronto in sky blue with a crest that has a red maple leaf in it. That maple leaf is used about as much on sports uniforms as the texas state flag. :D

I think there will be two options for the Toronto MLS uniform.

If they go with the name Blizzard, it will be red and white.

If they don't the uniforms will be blue and white.

I'd imagine this team being part of the Maple Leafs orgainization that they would go with Blue and White. Use the popularity of the NHL to endorse soccer as the "hockey of the summer".

In my opinion, hockey is a derivative of soccer. In many respects they are similiar and the team should point out these similiarities.

Go with the Maple Leaf tradition and run. They'll look like the Chelsea of North America!

Can you say boring?

Can you say 'tradition?'

Some places have traditional colours (green and white or green and gold in my neck of the woods, Calgary and red, etc). Almost every Toronto sports team wears blue — the Leafs obviously, the Blue Jays, the Argos (who wear 'double blue'), the University of Toronto Varsity Blues . . . so you can go with tradition and adopt the civic colours (the city's flag is blue too) or you can go the Raptors route and try to get a unique colour and brand yourself as being distinct.

I think if they go with Blizzard, they would also go with white/blue and a predominantly red kit as their two options.

I'm all for unique/distinct colour combinations, but I'm not sure orange or purple are going to help this team in Toronto. There were better options elsewhere, why did Colorado get rid of the green? Why not go back to maroon for San Jose?

cheers,

I don't necessarily want another blue or red team in MLS, but this is dean on, IMO.

Blue/White fits toronto (and Red/White is Canada (and the Blizzard)) and I'm not disappointed if they go with that (or only a little if that).

Orange wouldn't be out of place in Houston, and a Houston Eagles' (de Club America) yellow themed would still be somewhat unique in MLS, so hopefully expansion would lend a little help in the color department.

FTR, I like both versions of Colorado, so I in a perfect world, I would like if they used green as a third, and have Milwaukee/Seattle/Portland/Rochester/etc infuse some green into MLS.
I wouldn't mind maroon in San Jose either.

Yup. It's gotta be blue.

Blue is Toronto's civic colour. The colour's history in this town traces back to the city's University - The U of T Blues. It was then adopted by Conn Smythe after he purchased and rebranded the current day Toronto Maple Leafs. Since then it has been a constant in Toronto sports. Or at least it should be.

Fashion has little to do with it. The team needs integrity. For that to happen, the kit needs to be primarily blue.
