We travel up the road to Dundee tomorrow knowing a win will put the Bhoys back on top of the league where we belong.
I hoping that the very entertaining football that we seen v Motherwell can be sustained for a longer period during the game, best football played for a long time.
Arabs 1 - 3 Celtic

Even your own supporters were praising him when he was given playing time. Sadly yet another example of the Old Firm looking to stifle any threats in the league. Seasons like this would have been all too common, had your lot not tried to destroy the SPL.

I go to all games home and away, and know lots of Celtic fans, some intimately and I've not heard anyone praise Fernandez.
Not sure why you think Celtic want to destroy Scottish football, I think they are looking after Celtic's interests. As I've said before Celtic do make policy for the SPL alone.

All I heard was praise for him after his first pre-season (he was top scorer) and his fleeting substitute appearances, during which many stated he was MotM, such was his impact. The problem he had was MoN does not play teams suitable for a talent like Fernandez. Therefore he was only bought to remove a danger to Celtic in the SPL. Obviously his lack of playing time resulted in him getting unfit. However, once he returned to us on loan and we got him fit, he proved yet again that he was one of the best in the league. He could have done a great job for you, but he was never given a chance. Another example is Pearson.
Regardless, this isn't the time or place for another discussion like this. Good luck to Dundee United.

I think you saying Celtic only bought Fernandez to eliminate him being a threat to Celtic is off the mark. Is that the reason we buy players from other Scottish teams?
We have also bought players from down south who will never get a game, like eh Virgo *hides* did we have a different motivation

Why did you sign Fernandez when it was obvious to everyone that he wouldn't fit in the Celtic system? Was it because he was nominated for Player of the Year and regularly took the piss out of the entire league? I suppose getting him on the cheap did help. :(

I think a 3-0 thrashing sounds just about right for DUFC.
Any thoughts on the starting XI?

Dundee Utd have been a bit of a bogey club for Rangers, but not for Celtic for some reason. I'll be leaving in a couple of hours for the trip to tannadice, always a great place to watch and appreciate good football.
I think we'll start with the same team we did midweek, which was the same team we started the previous weekend....both performances were markedly different, I hoping to see the team that played against Motherwell show up today.
Thompson is still suspended, Zurawski is still out with his hamstring injury, and Hartson, who injured a foot on training is also clear to play
From: Boruc, Telfer, Balde, McManus, Camara, Petrov, Lennon, Nakamura, Agathe, Maloney, Sutton, Beattie, Marshall, Virgo, McGeady, Wallace, Pearson, Lawson, Hartson.

Fernandez hasn't recovered from his hamstring injury so doesn't play. Despite that, Celtic are strugging and the score is currently:
Dundee United 2 - 3 Celtic

Top of the League mama :D
Great afternoon's entertainment, some great football, particularly the first half, goals from both sides, lots of pressure from the Arabs second half finally for Pearson to get the goal that ended the contest at the death.
See the goals here, not great quality....unlike celtic :D

Thanks for the link. The song was hiliarious. Hartson's goal via the dummy pass was sweet.
Why do you call DUFC Arabs? Thanks.

In the 60's they used to firm up their pitch by spreading copious amounts of sand on it, so they were called "sand dancers" or "Arabs" because of the link (Maybe slightly tenuous :D) with sand

Overall a very good game. The score line really doesn't do us justice, as we pretty much kept the arabs on the heels most of the match. That shot from Samuel was an absoulte blast, Boruc had no chance and McManus should have put a foot on it. Two own goals which was fun stuff, personally i think Sutton just wanted a shot on goal as that looked more like a blatanet shot on goal then a player trying to head it clear. :D Not sure what Archibald was doing we he shouldered in his own goal. Hartson's early goal will keep the transfer talk moving along and was a very good strike and caught Stillie flat footed. Suttons little flick off the Maloney's rocket shot evened out the own goal. I am glad to see Pearson back and at full health, he has been fantastic when not carrying a knock, lets hope he has put his injurrie spells behind him. Well another 3 points in the bag bring on Falkirk!
