From reading the reports sounded like Bvb dominated. Damn, they need to cool off.

We did dominate over long stretches, but not the entire match and when Hoffenheim were in the match, they made it exciting.

Dude, you have to remember, reports are just another man's opinion.

Let me put it this way. We won 3-1, but our keeper was voted Man of the Match.

What does that tell you??

I didn't know he was MoM. Who was in goal? Ziggy?

Yeah. Weidenfeller is out until sometime around the end of next month. And they will not rush him back.

Hopefully the loss knocked some sense into Hoffy and they realized they aren't ready to step up to the big league just yet.

Maybe Hopp realized, that he needs to stregthen the squad. ;)
After a Hoffy defensive mistake tv showed Hopp writing something
and the commentator joked:
"Note: I need to buy a tall defender with heading skills."

Well they streak continues. Knocking off Vfl Osnabrück at home. Geez, they are going to get promoted.

It's a little early for that.

People said that about Gladbach before the start of this half of the season and they have certainly come back to earth.

Another team or two is going to "get hot" before this is all said and done.......

Call it Hyperbole. A bit of an exaggeration.

6 in a row and looking good.

I watched a couple of Hoffenheim games earlier this season. After a great streak there was a lot of complacency in their attack, which I would in fact attribute to 2nd division "boredom" and the frustration over a defense which routinely allowed two goals against (not helped much by single-minded offensive players either).
They somehow fixed the defense and their first class offensive players have all the motivation with 1. Bundesliga football in sight. I'm fully convinced they'll get promoted.

Noch ist nicht aller Tage Abend...

I'm sure that any other team is going to "haunt" them, hence!

OK. You know I'm just "not good" with that. I have to tell myself that's what it is.

I can see why you would think that, but knowing the 2. Liga, I don't know if they can keep up such a run.

They don't look as dominant as KSC did for most of last season and Rostock for about half of it.

The 2. Liga is usually like that. Even this season. Gladbach has looked dominant most of the time, but they've damned near fallen back to the pack.

It will be interesting to see if Hoffenheim can keep it up. I don't doubt that they "can", but it might be a case of their peaking far too soon too.

Before this is all said and done, I think we will hear from clubs like Koln (They might have to fire Daum, if he doesn't leave for Schalke first), Freiburg and 1860.....

Understood, but they do have a 6 game winning streak, plus you have to add their win over Rostock. Its a super hot team and they are winning on the road.

You are right, they might be peaking too early - and I still think if Köln can hang around till the end, they can get promoted as well. Need to check out the finishing schedules and see who the match ups favor.

Exactly Eddie. They are "super hot" now. What makes you think they will keep it up for another 12 weeks??

Here's what Hoffenheim has left.

SC Paderborn 07 (Home)
Erzgebirge Aue (Home)
1. FSV Mainz 05 (Away)
FC Augsburg (Home)
1. FC Kaiserslautern (Away)
Alemannia Aachen (Home)
FC St. Pauli (Away)
FC Carl Zeiss Jena (Home)
1. FC Köln (Away)
TuS Koblenz (Home)
Kickers Offenbach (Away)
SpVgg Greuther Fürth (Home)

As they are "super hot" right now, I think they will easily dispatch of Paderborn and Aue at home.

That match at Mainz will tell us what they are truly made of.

I think Augsburg will give them a hard time after that and Kaiserslautern will be fighting for their lives. I mean they will be literally fighting for that club's life.

Aachen will give them a hard time and no one wins easily at St. Pauli, who will also be fighting for their 2. Liga lives.

They get to face "Cup Juggernaut" ;) Jena before going to play a promotion "six-pointer" with your boys at Koln.

They should beat Koblenz after that and Offenbach is another team who will be fighting for their lives when they face Hoffenheim. Anything can happen in those matches.

The match with Fuerth goes without saying.

This will not be easy for them. Sure, if you look at the names, the schedule looks "easy", but again, when those "lower" clubs are fighting for their lives, anything goes.........

Well I'm not sure they will remain perfect the 2nd half of the season, but if they win 9 more games they are probably up.

The next question is who does everyone else close out with?

They win again. Should win their next game, then a tough one on Easter Sunday at Mainz.

Their skipper Teber is out for 6 weeks and their best striker Obasi suspended for 3 games.

I still think they win next week, and fail against Aachen.
