So how much is Hopp worth?
I'm not very familiar with him.
Compared to Abramovich or the Arabs of Machester City...
And what are his intentions from here on out?
Will he spend big in the winter if he is close to a spot in the top 5? Or is being in the Bundesliga enough for him?
Dietmar Hopp
Dietmar Hopp (* 26.

U can't compare him to Red Roman or those crazy arabs.
I really doubt that he would ever pay 30-50 mio € for one player but he could spend ~ 25 mio € every year to strenghten the team.
Sooner or later his goal will be to qualify for the UEFA CUP/CL.
UEFA Cup in the next 2-3 seasons, CL maybe in 5.

Insane match today, probably a classic match already. Your team is very strong going forward, and I can really see you finishing on a UEFA Cup spot this season if you continue like that; you won't have anything to do with the relegation battle at least. In this form, you can cause any team in the league all kinds of problems, despite our rather amateurish defending today.

Haha...that's evil guys, really evil. :D
I don't think that I will ever be a Hoppenheim fan, for the reasons discussed in this thread already, but I do admire them for their attacking philosophy. No matter what you think of them, from the sporting perspective, Hoffenheim have definitely enriched the league, some quality football by them so far this season.

.
Of course there are. As long as they are playing the team ahead of your team in the standings.

After a critical commentary in Tagesspiegel alluding to the dodgy situation that the son of the DFB president is on Hopp's payroll, the Hoffenheim press secretary declared they won't collaborate with that newspaper any more.
More evidence of that ridiculous irritability of the club and Hopp's determination to have everything his way. I hope that this is a step too far in the eyes of many journalists.

well you usually don't hear that...but it makes sense
when you call someone thick skinned it means they can take a lot of insults, critisicm, rejection, etc. etc.
so thin skinned would be the opposite :D

We use thin-skinned quite a bit. And that's exactly what it means. Someone who can't take criticism, jokes, etc.
Basically someone who is over-sensitive.

I have read this masterpiece of journalism. Shocking as this is coming from the boss of Tagesspiegel.
Our goalkeeper is probably out for the next match. I still dunno if Carlos can play. I hope so.
Wellington was hit by another injury, is out for some weeks.
