Now, I don't like Bayern or anything, but you really can't say they do not have an amazing youth department... I mean, just look at the last couple of years, there's Rensing, Lahm, Lell, Hummels, Ottl, Schweinsteiger, Kroos and a ton of youth titles...
No suprise, if you are first choice for all German talents. ;)
No, honestly, Bayern dep´s really great, but the youth dep at Hoffenheim
looks also good. Maybe they can produce some good BL players.

Hoffenheim's coming to the US looking for youth players, so that gives them the nod over Bayern for me ;)
Don't they "have to" build on youth because of the new "local player" rule?

The rule is no real restriction. You only have to include some players
from your youth in your squad, but they don´t need to play.

Here is a long interview (in German) with Rangnick from the SZ. He discusses his non-traditional path to becoming a trainer, Hoffenheim and much more.

Hehe I read few pages in this thread and noticed there are some haters of Hopp. I would love to see a wealthy man like he is in Dortmund. xD
And then spending tons of € on superstars hehehe :)
I'm joking a little bit. Its not neccessary that a wealthy man like he is, will ruin all traidition in Germany. Modern football just needs money and make things much easier.

Hoffenheim signed Brazilian striker Wellington (20 years old)
from Nautico (Brasil) for 4.5 million €.

and two goals by Ibisevic, who has USA connections: Some high school and some time at St. Louis University before moving to PSG.

Yeah. I actually sent mail to Borussia Dortmund last season asking them to take a look at him.
I think we did when he played for Aachen.
