Has anybody bought the German hand-made Copas from Eurosport? I'm wondering if they are of higher quality that the regular ones.

I did and I've previously owned the regular Copa's and there isn't really a difference, at least nothing significant. The upper might be a little softer and the tongue is thinner, but in general no difference worth the money. Not worth it IMO.

FYI, ALL the Copas are now being made in Germany again as of almost a year ago.

Thanks. I'll probably just buy another pair of regular Copas then.

What actual difference is there between the regular ones and the more expensive ones then?

Generally, the German-made Copas are going to be of higher quality than the ones made in Malaysia. Eurosport may still have stock on the Malaysia-made version & needs to move them. But as I said, all Copas are again being made in Germany, so there should be no need to pay a premium for them.

have never seen a non-german copa, the ones sold here all have a "made in germany" tag.

only difference is that the Germans are made in germany and the regs are made in indonesia...
You can tell the difference by the tags on the tongue, where it says copa mundial on the side in silver is thicker on the germany's, and were it says adidas on the heel is thicker...
Both cleats have exactly the same materials. The difference in the ads is that the germans say "hand made with dual PU injections" and the regsulars say "two polyurathane injections" which is the same a dual pu injections...
Either is just as good...

The german made ones leather is much better and the the fit is a bit more snug. Also they seem to be a bit lighter because of the outsole being formed in a different manner

The leather on the underside of the stipes is overlapped, then sewn. Unlike the Indonesian Copas where the two strips of leather don't overlap.

this is a bit off topic ... but are copas meant for people with wide feet ?? I heard alot of good things about them and would want to purchase them but would they be unsuitable for people with wide feet ??

As said many times over, they are great for wide feet. and the leather stretches alot to conform to most feet type.
