I have noticed that you can get the original Puma Cellerator Shudoh as below very cheaply in the UK. I really like the newer Cellerators (synth) but was wondering how the original Shudoh compares and whether they would be worth a try at such a cheap price?

These are the ones I mean:

What materials are they actually made from, and are they heavy? Do they have the ankle support like the newer cellerators?

I own(ed) the original shudohs. I have mixed feelings about them. They are made of a synthetic cloth/plasticy material. They are very comfortable, right out of the box. No break in period, probably the only boots that i've had that with. they have the ankle lining like the KSLs. Different than the cellerators. They're not that heavy, fairly light, but like all shoes a few ounces makes not one difference at all. They don't feel bulky either which is nice. The bad thing about them is the material is a pain in the arse to keep clean. There is almost no way to keep it clean. On those ones, it's the black part, so you're in luck. I had the silver ones, and i tried to clean them once and that was it. Other than that. They're nice, but I never wore mine so I sold them. I would save the money and put it towards something else honestly.

Cheers Darren, I had a feeling you'd answer this one for me ;)
Gutted because I missed out on a pair of cellerators 04 that went ridiculously cheap on ebay, but there's another pair I've got my eye on. I'm really keen to try some cellerators after all I've read about them, and just wondered how much the newer versions had moved on.
Not over sure about the cloth material anyway.

Unfortunately I'm UK so add shipping, and customs and they can prob be found in UK for as cheap. I know there are people selling the 05 on ebay UK for £50. $75 is pretty cheap though and the red k ones do look nice :)

I got given these boots by a english league pro in may and he was using them for 2 seasons 2004/2005 and the year before. He was a league 2 player and very good. He was using these boots 4 days a week. They got given to me but sadly were too big for me but perfectly fitted my dad. The sole plate is very cool and is very comfortable for him to run in. He also says the upper is extremely comfortable. Plus as Darren has said in this colour they dont get very muddy. The one problem being the Blue bit around the puma sign and the puma sign, when the boots got handed to me the bottom of it had teared off a bit, but i'm sure they couldn't be perfect condition with alot of use in them.
